Great design for active people
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I absolutely love the design of these headphones. The fit is extremely comfortable, I don't even notice that I am wearing them after 2 hours and they perfect for running or working out. I love the built in swivel design for an over the ear fit when working out, but prefer a behind the neck fit when laying down and watching YouTube or Hulu on my phone. The one issue that I am having is that I am not getting anywhere near the 12-14 hours that I've seen other reviews online report. I've been using these for just over a month now and I am getting closer to 8-9 hours per charge. During an 8 mile run I saw the battery drop from 99% to 79% over the course of 70 mins. This is with the battery indicator disabled through the app, the volume set to 50% and the sound profile set to signature. Still impressive battery life, but I feel like either the charge on my pair is not properly holding or the battery indicator in the app is not displayed correctly. I haven't had a chance to test them continuously yet, just 2-3 hours at a time. I have a long trip scheduled overseas and hope that a full battery makes the entire flight, but I plan on packing my Bose QuietComfort 35s just in case. I bought these on the recommendation of friends who use the Jaybird X3 and X4 and decided paying extra on the Tarah Pro over the Jaybird X models for the extra battery life. Hopefully I can resolve the issue I am having with battery life.

Traded in X4s for these
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had originally bought the Jaybird X4s but wasn't happy with the comfort (the band would get caught on my sweaty skin and the buds didn't sit perfectly in my ears). I traded those back for these and am much happier. The switch fit system is it easy to use (rather than removing ear tips/fins each time on the X4s); the headphones feel secure in my ears, even when I'm running; and the battery life is amazing. The only downside is the X4s have better sound. The Tarah Pros sound very good - much better than the Jabra Elite 65ts I own - but going back to back with them, I could easily tell the small drop in richness and bass. It might be because the X4s allow foam tips, which can enhance the sound, but again, these still sound great. Very happy with my purchase.

Highly recommend for runs and workouts
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Almost 3 years with these and still perform like the day i got them. Use these 6 days a week at the gym and 3 days a week on runs and have never had an issue with them. The buds fit secure in my ears and the strap is easy to adjust to keep from flopping on my neck. Pairs flawlessly with my galaxy watch for hassle free workouts and runs. Handy to clip around my neck when talking to someone without risk of dropping. Sound is the best I've ever had with earbuds, impressive bass. Battery typically lasts a whole week of workouts.

These earbuds are AWESOME
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. These are by far the best wireless earbuds that I have owned. I have probably purchased around 10-12 different types of wireless earbuds over the past few years. I have constantly been jumping from earbud to earbud looking for the perfect one. You name the bud, and I’m sure I have owned it at one time. I finally have found the perfect one. These earbuds are awesome . They sound amazing, the fit is great and the connection is the best that I have ever had. Their app is also awesome. They have an equalizer that is by far the best ever. They have their own different presets already set up for different genres of music, plus you can set up you own. I have about 6 different settings that I have customized according to what artists I’m listening to. I would definitely recommend these earbuds for anyone who can’t decide what ones they want. I really can’t say enough about these earbuds. You won’t be disappointed. Hope this helped y’all.

Forgot anything else - these are the ones!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Best wireless headphones I've used - period! If you try them and are unimpressed, try changing the ear gels to a different size, one at a time (mine ended up being 2 different sizes) - once you get a good seal in your ears they are absolutely AMAZING!

Battery life is out the ying-yang...
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After going through a lot of styles and manufacturers of Bluetooth earbuds, a couple of features have come to be the most important to me: 1 - battery life (tired of switching out sets of earbuds when spending the day listening to my music or audiobooks) - this set of earbuds leaves all the others I have used gasping for air and choking on the dust. No question the run-time on the Jaybirds is without peer. 2 - good fit, and I mean a good fit that is comfortable and will stay in when I drift off to sleep for the night listening to my Harry Potter audiobooks (I don't like waking up in the middle of the night and having to plug a dangling earbud back in). With that in mind, the "sport model" of earbud with the cush/wing plugs and silicone tips works best, as the winged plugs stay put and are suprisingly comfortable. The Jaybirds offer the option of "under the ear" or "over the ear" mounting, with an interesting "twist to fit" feature that gets the buds locked in your ear very snug and comfortable. Jaybird has the basics well in hand with these earbuds. Pairing - easy. App available for setting sound levels and equalizer - nice touch, although I personally prefer to find a setting and leave it there for most listening instead of going back and forth with an app to make frequent tweaks to the sound. Durability - no question this pair will hold up for a long time. Some of my older earbuds have had the buttons and plastic covers deteriorate to the point of uselessness. The Jaybirds seem very well constructed with no "weak spots" that I can see that became problematic on other Bluetooth sets. Charging - proprietary magnetic system that works great and is nice to have, as long as you have it handy when needed. Jaybird's PR says that the magnetic system reduces the bulk of the headset control pod and helps reduce points of entry for water and dust - which makes good sense and seems to hold true in use. Sound quality - no problems here as the sound is as nice as you would expect at this price point. No noise-cancelling, but I have not found that noise-cancelling makes much difference with a good-fitting set of earbuds. Ear-cup headsets = yes, but earbuds = not so much. BATTERY LIFE! Did I mention battery life? Wow! The best I have experienced from about a dozen sets of earbuds with just about as many different manufacturers. This set provides HOURS MORE listening time than anything else I have tried. Wear them all night dozing off to audiobooks, and then keep them on for morning NPR news and on to Spotify for the workday. I hate to take them off when it's time to charge, but a couple of hours for full charge (or maybe 5-10 minutes to get several more hours) and they are good to go for another full night and day of use. I'm not a big phone-user when wearing earbuds, but with the comfort and long battery life for this set, taking a call or two is inevitable. Sound clarity incoming is excellent, and outgoing is reported to be just fine as well. Really, phone call is a phone call - I use earbuds for listening, not chatting. Take the call, see you later, back to the morning news or music. Overall, the price may seem a little more than I was comfortable with at first for "buds" - but after a few weeks of use I am confident that I will be using, and enjoying, this excellent and durable set of earbuds for a long time to come.

nice package, with a couple of shortcomings
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Jaybird products have always been a top choice for folks who like to workout, and this item is no exception; they feel great on your ears while working out, and, the braided cable that connects them doesnt cause any discomfort or issues while pushing yourself hard.. A couple of things that could use improvement; the sound is good, but not as good as the Bose soundsport headset; but definitely good enough to enjoy.. However, the charging cradle is very weird, and not at all what would be called "easy to use" or convenient..I am sure Jaybird had a reason to use this cradle, but, its really not user friendly, and hopefully gets replaced in the next version.. Either way, its not enough to keep folks from buying and loving this headset, so if you're a Jaybird fan, dont hesitate to buy this!

Great workout earbuds!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. These headphones are great all around! I’m really enjoying the quick charge feature and the adjustability of sound preferences. They’re really comfortable, I prefer the over the ear style more especially during workouts. I bought these to replace my Powerbeats 3’s and these are far superior!!! Buy them you won’t regret it!

Best Jaybirds yet - srsly
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've been a long-time fan of Jaybird headphones, but they haven't really come out with anything significant in a few years. The Tarah Pro is actually the first truly new pair of Jaybird headphones that they have come out since the Freedoms. There are 2 things that I especially like about them: The braided cord is really nice where it doesn't stick to your skin when your skin is sweaty. Plus, they just don't get tangled. Second would be the 14 hour battery life. This is HUGE and I got about 12-13 hours out of them and I like to listen to my music at high volumes. But there are also some other things like the magnetic charging clip which is convenient HOWEVER, once again, Jaybird uses a different charging solution for every single pair of headphones that they have come out with. I would love to be able to use some of my older charging cables and not have to have one distinctive charger for each set that I own. Still though, I won't dock it a star for this since not sure many people own numerous pairs of Jaybirds, but maybe I am wrong. In terms of fit, the "eargels" as they call them are really nice - now, I was never really a fan of the foam eartips and always preferred silicon so these worked great for me. Overall, these ARE a truly new pair of Jaybird headphones and I think they did a great job with them.

Poor QC/Programming
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After the X3s and X4s, the Tarah Pros are such a disappointment. Jaybird seemingly got it right with quality improvements such as the improved battery lode, magnetic backs, and braided cable. I was even willing to overlook them dropping support for the high quality AAC codec. Unfortunately, the listening experience is subpar. 1) There is a noticeable delay in changing tracks and turning on compared to the X3/X4. 2) There is a noticeable delay in fully changing EQ settings, as noted by the bass drop that occurs when doing so. 3) The headset has a programming issue where it will start immediately shutting off after powering on, even with 40+ percent battery left. When this happens, the only way to fix it is to use the charger to factory reset the buds. 4) To implement the Switch Fit feature, Jaybird has fused the wing tips and buds together, lowering for options. The angle for insertion is sharper and the buds don't go in as far, meaning a worse seal and less sound isolation than the X3/X4, no support for foam tips. I've been through 2 sets of these and the same issues. I'm returning and going back to the X4s. I'll miss the 14 hour battery life, but not the issues and compromises.

Best Wireless Headphones I have ever owned
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I got these to replace my JayBird Runs because they would not stay in my ears and the choice of plastic hurt my ears. And lemme tell ya, these sound amazing and are my first choice of headphones. Plus with a 14-hour battery, these are going to be great for college. GO MAVS. The braided cable is also amazing and doesn't even feel like its there most of the time. My only complaint is that it didn't come with the foam tips, but the custom EQ that makes these sound amazing; the only other headphones I have are the Sennheiser GSP 550 and these are a great mobile version that sounds great. What I mean is that I don't feel like I am going from the best to these okay headphones. I feel like I am going to a headphone that is just of amazing and is great on the go.

A Sound Worth Listening
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After speaking with a Best Buy associate and getting their advice, I went with these earbuds. I was very concerned about comfort. Earbuds that fit into the canal of your ear are not comfortable to me. These sit in the ear, rather than needing to be planted in the ear canal, thus they are very comfortable. Three fitting sizes are provided and they are very comfortable even after several hours of listening. The braided cord is very durable and less prone to sticking to skin over a rubber cord. Sound is important to, and these are amazing. Even better than a pair of noises-cancelling over the ear phones I had. The Jaybird app allows you to set a custom EQ and it's worth using. Very pleased with this purchase.

Best Wireless Earbuds
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Researched a bunch online and went with these. Really like the personalized equalizer setting it sets up for you. Had a Bose Quiet Comfort 35 and I have a Sony WH-1000XM3, it sounds better than them both. Earbuds securely fit in the ears. Also, I like how you can magnetically connect the earbuds when you take them off and the earbuds stop playing and when you connect them the music plays again. The case is compact and easy to open.

Amazing!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Ok. I bought the x4 last month but I like my music loud so was only getting half of the 8 hour playtime. Been with jaybird since they started. All of them are great but these tarah pros are the best. I’ve spent literally hundreds of dollars on wireless buds . These by a long shot are the best. They seal in your ears and are extremely comfortable. All my non jaybird buds suck because they don’t seal in your ear . I don’t want to hear anything but my music, nothing else, and these do just that. Can’t imagine what they gonna release next. These tarah pros will be hard to beat !!

I really wanted to like these
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I liked the comfort of the AirPods l've used for a couple of years, but wasn't overwhelmed by the sound. Was excited when the PowerBeats Pro came out, purchased and gave the AirPods to my wife. They are the best sounding earbuds out there, but they were uncomfortable. The redesign didn't work for my ear. Returned them and got these Jaybirds, along with some $40 Treblab buds from Amazon for comparison. There is no comparison. Even using the Jaybird equalizer app, the Treblabs sound 10x better. Louder, more bass, and more comfortable. If they last a year, I'll have gotten my money's worth and hopefully the AirPod 3's will be a more significant upgrade. in the meantime, returning these.

Avoid these headphones
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My wife gave these to me as a birthday gift in February 2020, and for the first three and a half months of using them for running they worked great! They had a nice full sound with plenty of bass and the fit with my ears was good too. In June 2020 they began to malfunction. Even though my phone showed they were paired, they would not play any sound about 3/4ths of the time, and sometimes played a load static noise instead. When they were playing sound, they would also sometimes disconnect from my phone without warning. I contacted Jaybird support, and although they were friendly, after multiple requests they didn't go ahead and initiate a replacement through the warranty. In the comments to a Jaybird Facebook ad, I noticed a number of people also had a similar experience with the quality of this product. Given their high price and short working life, I will be avoiding the Jaybird brand in the future and suggest that you do too!

Sound is AMAZING
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was skeptical at first. Besides, I have other pairs of Bluetooth headsets, including some truly wireless, these are better, and no lag on YouTube or Netflix. The braided cord is great (doesn't get caught on my neck like the rubber coated ones) and the switch fit is an awesome idea. I love these
