They are pretty good headphones but nothing compared to the Sony SP800N. If you are running or riding a bike they are really good for that because hearing traffic noise is important.

I have had jaybirds for a long time. I bought these a few weeks ago. I have used them daily. They are not bad except that they constantly disconnect if not in use and power off. My only complaint

They are the first wireless earbuds that I have purchased. For the price I guess they are good. They are very uncomfortable to wear. I have not had them long enough to comment on the quality.

I purchased these wireless earbuds as a replacement for a corded headset for work calls. My teammates said they couldn't really hear me. If you want this to use on calls, get a better headset

I had high hopes for the Jaybird Tarah bluetooth headphones. I was an early adopter to Jaybird’s entry into the bluetooth earbud market years ago with the X2 and was very impressed with the quality of sound and battery life. Which is why I feel so confused by these headphones - the sound quality is terrible. I thought perhaps it was because when I first started using the Tarah’s that I hadn’t set up the App yet which provides a sound equalizer. The equalizer has a bunch of presets built-in, and an overwhelming array of presets you can download. Or you can tweak the frequency range to exactly the way you like it. This did help, but not solve the overall sound quality. I’m a bit of an audio snob, I’ll admit it. I appreciate good sound quality, good earphones should be able to reproduce the original soundtrap without coloring it. I found these to be extremely ‘bright’ sounding earphones, with very poor bass reproduction. Try as I might, tweaking the equalizer, reposition the earbuds in my ear canals - but I never got the Tarah’s to sound good to me. On the positive side the Tarah’s fit really well, and are very secure once in place. They stayed in position for each and every one of my runs, they were comfortable and allowed enough outside sound in to be safe and alert. They were also well planted and secure during crossfit, and gym routines. I will state these stayed in my ears better than any other earbuds I’ve used in the past, I just wish they sounded better. I’ve never had any trouble with sweat killing my earphones, but I know that other people have. The Tarah’s are IPX7 Certified, meaning they are made to take a certain amount of moisture without any ill effects. But they can’t be used for swimming, or in the shower (not sure why you would use them there - but that’s the disclaimer). But you can run with these in the rain and not worry about ruining them. The remote provides the basic functions, and also includes the ability to activate the Google assistant. This may be useful for some folks, but I didn’t use it. The mic function was something I haven’t ever used, but the feature is there if you decide to make or take a call while wearing these. The charger design is pretty neat, and convenient. It’s proprietary though, so don’t lose or break it! The battery life was acceptable, if not impressive. I generally got 5 hours out of them before they needed to be recharged. In summary I liked everything about the Tarah’s, they were easy to set up, they paired quickly, they were comfortable to wear, they stayed in place. But… They audio reproductive was just unimpressive, and I’m afraid I can’t settle for such uninspiring sound. I really want to like these, and I wish the sound quality was a user error. But I’ve tried everything and they just don’t appeal to me. Ironically I still have my old X2’s, they still work, and they sound far better than this brand new model. Sorry Jaybird, I didn’t like the Tarah’s but I still love your products.
