Sound quality is average for Bluetooth headphones. But the one star goes to the fit of the headphones. Having the sound control bar on one side of the headphones has them constantly being pulled to that one side. This sounds minor but is rather annoying on 2+ hour runs or bike rides.

      Hi MRMAN,

We are sorry to hear that the Jaybird Tarah disconnects and we'll be glad to help you out! Just send us an email at [email protected] and we will get you taken care of.

Please try the following suggestions to resolve the issue of your headset:

-Move your earbuds and your Bluetooth audio device closer as you may be experiencing Bluetooth interference. While the range of most Bluetooth devices is 10 meters (33 feet), the optimal range for any Bluetooth stereo device is about 60 centimeters (2 feet) from the audio source.
-Your earbuds Bluetooth antenna is located in the inline remote. Try moving your audio device closer to the side where the inline remote is located. For example, you can try moving your audio device to your right pocket instead of your left.
-Reset your Bluetooth connection by turning your device's Bluetooth off for one minute and then back on.
-Turn your audio device off and then back on.
-Complete a reset of your earbuds.

there is one month I bought it, I used only 4 times and and it's not working anymore. Even with the headphone turned off the batery is discharding. I will contact the company. Let's see if their post sale service works. If so, I may change my evaluation.

      Hello BRUFRA,

We are sorry to hear that your Jaybird Tarah's stopped working and we'd like to help. Please send us an email at Jaybirdlistens@Jaybirdsport.com and we will get you taken care of to improve your experience.

Please try these troubleshooting steps that can help to resolve the issue of your headset's battery:

-Computers are the best and safest method, as is anything 1 AMP or less.
-Car chargers produce a much greater power supply and should be avoided.
-Over-charging the battery will quickly reduce the life of the headphones, so in addition to monitoring the power supply, limit the charge time to 2 hours,
-To get the most out of your battery it is recommended to charge the buds when the low battery status is indicated.
-Avoid charging your headphones after exposure to sweat.
-Make sure charging port/cradle is clear of any debris.

I got these on a deal of the day so for 30.00 wireless earbuds there sounded ok. One day they died and stopped taking a charge. You get what you pay for. Hopefully I get some sort of help or replacement. I will say I'm also ready to take an "L". You've been warned.

I did not keep these headphones once I saw it used a special charger. The description only said USB so I was unprepared for the non-standard charger. Since I charge headphones in multiple locations this would not be practical.

Do not like the design. The ear pieces hurt my ear after a while of wearing them. All the weight of the wire really gets heavy and is difficult to keep from getting caught on things.

    Great for me...

    Posted .

I purchased the Jaybird Tarah from Best Buy and they fit my needs perfectly. I use them for working out, an occasional call or two, and it is linked to my Mac. They come with 3 sport fit (numbered 1, 2, 3) set ups as far as ear hooks and inner ear gel combinations. They are pre fitted with number 2 which fit me well but number 1 for me was best. They are comfortable and offer a solid seal. In fact once the music is playing you really can't hear anything else. They are bluetooth 5.0 so connectivity (I-phone XR that I own is bluetooth 5.0 as well) has been great. No drops or cut offs unless I am a good distance away or multiple walls in between. The sound is terrific right out of the box and once you download their app and apply some pre-sets or customize to your personal tastes it gets even better. Very nice but keep in mind I am no audiophile, no expert. Your mileage may vary. As far as watching youtube or video on my Mac there isn't any lag or latency issues. As far as calls, this could be improved. Calls are not bad and the other party could hear me just fine and I could hear them just fine. The issue is when both buds are in I can hear myself talk which is annoying. I simply remove the left one (Mic and controls are on the right) and then it is fine. These are sweat and waterproof which may explain the proprietary charger. Not a fan of the charger simply because it is unique. Much of my stuff is Apple and I have lightening cables galore along with USB. Having said that the Jaybird Tarah's were chosen over the Beats X and Powerbeats 3 so that is saying something. Try them out, for $79.99 (on sale) I think you will be happy.

The sound quality on these headphones is great, but the bass lacks punch and depth. Even just the low string on a 6 string guitar is to much for these. If I try to increase the bass I just increase the distortion. The only way I found to get satisfying Bass response is to turn everything else down, crank the Bass up, turn up the volume until the headphones start to distort, then turn the headphone volume down until everything clears up again. After figuring out the loudest possible bass available, then I turn up the mids and highs to match. On the plus side, the battery life is awesome for how tiny these headphones are. The cord between the earbuds is very rubbery feeling, and it's kinda grabby against my skin. It would've been nice if they would've covered the cord with a nice nylon sheath so it would slide.
