Best headphones I ever had
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Best headphones I ever had. Sound canceling, comfortable and good sound. Before I had the Google 1gen buds that was a big disappointment but these just ticks all the boxes. It's a bargain. I like doing sports and these are just perfect for that. You can actually hear with them oppose to many others once you're out in real life with traffic and noises. also the battery life is brilliant and the experience is consistent.

amazing workout earbuds
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Tarahs were clearly designed by people who either work out or are close to people who do. Sweatproofing seems to be a common sense requirement for earbuds advertised for exercise, so the IP67 rating is expected. What's nice though is Jaybird opens up a free app to control the EQ on your buds, so you can tailor your Tarahs for whatever type of workout music you use. Sound quality-wise, do they sound as clear as my Grados? Definitely not, but crystal clear, 100% accurate, sound reproduction isn't what Jaybird was aiming for, so as long as you understand what you're getting the Tarah for, you won't be disappointed.

My absolute favorite headphones
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. These were and continue to be my favorite in ear headphones. Way better than my Bose (hate the controls, are big and clunky) and Beats (overpriced PITA to charge). They keep a charge for sooo long. They connect effortlessly to my devices. Only thing I haven't mastered is how to not lose eat tips and now I can't find replacements.

Very comparable to the brand names!!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. These headphones have worked great for me. I use them for workouts, while riding my bike, and doing other athletic activities. They a very comfortable and have multiple ear piece sizes. I perceive the sound quality as great and they cancel surrounding noise really well. I TOOK AWAY 1 STAR because, when using these headphones for phone calls, people have complained that background noise is very amplified, and it makes for difficult conversation if in a public setting. If you use headphones for phone calls daily then maybe choose a different pair. BUT for listening to music and use while working out they are fantastic!

Fantastic Wireless Earbuds!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. These are by far my favorite earbuds I have tried out to date. They have a very neutral sound to them. The abundance of EQ presets available through the app is amazing. Jaybird's "Signature" sound preset is one of my favorites for listening to music because it closely resembles the sound I get from my Alpine Type R speakers I have in my truck. Even though there is no "active noise cancellation", they actually cut out much more noise than other earbuds I have tried out with actual "active noise cancellation". Battery life is on par with the 6 hours advertised. At work, I get at least 6 hours, but there are "breaks" that split up my 9 hours shifts. I start work at 5am. I'll plug in my headphones when I get to work. At 7am is my first break, and the headphones are fully charged. I'll start listening at 7:15am, and I will not need to recharge them the rest of the day. I get off work at 2:30pm and the headphones are usually around 30-40% still, granted I'm pausing and talking to people and taking breaks every two hours. I've tested this over the past three days, and these are my findings.

Impressed
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is my first pair of Bluetooth headphones. I read good things about Jaybird and these seemed well priced so gave them a go. Really impressed. Easy to setup, comfortable and they sound good. I am also having fun playing with the app to change the sound. I have had the cord cinch thing come off a couple of times when sliding it, but apart from that I am really happy.

Warranty issues not waterproof/sweatproof
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased my first set of jaybird's when they were called bluebuds(first model). I have owned EVERY model since then. When the jaybird X3's came out the company was bought by Logitech. Since then I have been disappointed with this product. The warranty was lifetime sweatproof, simply call, return and receive a new set when they ultimately break due to moisture. Now the warranty is one year. I have purchased 63 pairs(all models) since 2012. Logitech will not replace broken units as stated in their policy. I have made 10 claims on 10 different jaybirds in the last 12 months(Freedom,X4,run). All broke due to sweat within 8 months. They fail by 1. Not charging 2.wont turn on 3. Will not hold charge. Only one set was replaced after 6 months, 18 emails and 9 phone calls. In the past I would call to make a claim with the proper receipt and be sent a new unit. Now I have a 10% success rate for getting a unit replaced. I want to stress that all of these claims are legitimate and the rules are clearly stated on the website. I am not trying to get something for free, I have accepted that 1 year is the maximum any given unit will work( I use them all day at work;everyday). I expect when they do not function within the 1 year warranty period Jaybird should replace the item. Seems fair to me. It is unfortunate because Jaybird is my favorite fit, sound etc. I also have purchased multiple sony, bose, jabra, steinheiser,JBL. Jaybird fit me better than every other brand. If you purchase these you will be happy....until they break and you get a denied claim from logitech. I also want you to know that I have never reviewed any product for any reason..never. I do not appreciate being ripped off. I have found Best buy will replace the item...just add $20 and buy their warranty for 2 years.

Very disappointing
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. These headphones are why to big to fit in my ears, they don’t come with a case for carrying them. They cut out at random times why listening, and the bass sounds horrible. They need to make the headphones ear tips and fins separate from each other so that tou can get a comfortable fit. I can’t get them to fit in my ears and when i do the other one pops out or just cuts up. Please fix this.

Volume Drops/hurts ears
Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Purchased these as a back up to my Bose Sports wireless. Didn't expect as much being price point, etc., but figured for back ups... They are not Awful, but: *Volume drops unexpectedly then goes right back, intermittently. During daily 60-90 minute work outs, averaged instances twice. * Hurt Ears but did fit tight. Real tight. Like could hear my foot vibrations/breathing over music or podcast. * Do NOT like the separate, proprietary charger. NOT standard micro USB charger.

Good fit, poor battery, very poor call quality
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Good: they fit alright and stay put Bad: short battery life. mic is too low a quality for zoom/video conferencing. I expressly bought these for zoom, as my over-ears are cumbersome. Unfortunately people cant understand me through these. People understand me crystal clear w/ my over ear headphones.

High hopes but disappointed
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I want to love these headphones. They look great at first glance, but the control pad looks super cheap. I would be 100% ok with that if I could get them to stay in my ears. I have very small ears, and even with the smallest size ear bud, they just felt like they were balancing on my ears and never quite secure. That may be why I found the sound quality so poor. I know they aren’t advertised as noise cancelling, but I could hear the gym’s music just as loud as the headphones, forcing me to turn the volume up way too high. The control unit, aside from being on the larger side and cheap looking, is very heavy and pulls the headphone out of my right ear when I turn my head.

Died after 2 months
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Headphones worked fine, but only 2 months later are dead and won't charge. After some internet research to see if there was some way to fix this, I discovered I'm definitely not the only one who has had this problem with these particular headphones.

Posted .Hi CatBee,
We are sorry to hear that the Jaybird Tarah won't charge and we'll be glad to help you out! Just send us an email at [email protected] and we will get you taken care of.
Please try these suggestions that can help to resolve the issue of your headset:
- Computers are the best and safest method, as is anything 1 AMP or less.
- Try a different power source/charger
- Car chargers produce a much greater power supply and should be avoided.
- Over-charging the battery will quickly reduce the life of the headphones, so in addition to monitoring the power supply, limit the charge time to 2 hours,
- To get the most out of your battery it is recommended to charge the buds when the low battery status is indicated.
- Avoid charging your headphones after exposure to sweat.
- Make sure charging port/cradle is clear of any debris.
