I am not nearly an audiophile so I will not comment on their sound quality; although you can change the sound profile through the app which seems cool. Fit: even with the varying sizes and types of earbud tips and fins I found it a bit difficult to find a perfect fit without them being uncomfortable over time or falling out. I settled on the small fins and used a pair of tips from an older pair of earbuds. That seems to work well enough. One issue I think is the length of the cord. I found it funny that they included a way to reduce the length because I found it too small as it is. When used behind my head to look left-right, I can feel them tug as if a little farther and they would come out of my ear. Also, even though they are super light, the remote adds to that tug and is a little bit too close to my ear. I like the inline remote, just wish it was a little smaller. I feel like the charging cradle isn't useful as just having a micro-usb access. In order to keep them charged you need to have that specific cable with you instead of the cord you use with all your other items. None of those negatives are nearly enough to turn away from them. I have had a few different wireless earbuds in the past and these are really nice. If you can get them on sale or if someone gives you a gift card they are totally worth the cost. I would say the LG Tone or other similar one that rest on your neck are larger and just as comfortable even when working out. But having had those I can say they are no more useful than the X3s and are generally the same price or higher so that makes these a winner for me. Although it looks dorky, I do appreciate the clip attachment to connect it to my shirt so they don't fall off or slide around. Overall they sound just fine, connect to multiple devices at the same time, are lightweight, and hold a charge long enough to use at work, through a work out, or at home. If it's between these and other similarly priced items it would be worth it to take a look at these.

This is my second pair of Jaybird headphones - the only issue I had with the first pair was I didn't know how much battery life was remaining - this is all fixed by downloading the app. The app also has preset levels to create an even better baseline sound. BTW the baseline sound if phenomenal - Recommend highly!!

These beat the X2s for sound and comfort and the Freedoms for comfort and battery life. Highly recommended. Clear crisp sound, and with the mobile app, you can adjust the bass, treble, and mids to your liking.

I haven't tested them rigorously in physical workouts, they do work well in light jogging. So, as a fitness-friendly pair of headphones, they appear very capable of doing the job. Running without wired headphones whipping around really improves the experience. Plenty of accessories, the foam earbuds sound better, but the silicone earbuds will probably serve better when working out. The only thing that is left to discuss is the sound. For me, a very clean yet powerful bass, while also delivering strong mid-range is what I try to look for. Its not loud enough for me if I really want to play some of my favorite music. At its loudest, tweaked with the app, it is probably about as 80% as loud as I would want it to be. You could probably get it to sound louder by jamming the earbud into your ear further, but that is not ideal. The sound is nice and clean, its just not powerful enough for my taste. For podcasts, phone calls, its perfectly fine. Battery life is fairly decent. It advertises 8 hours, but if you are listening continuously, like podcasts, it'll probably last around 6 hours. Charging is fairly quick, if the battery is at 50%, it will probably charge fully in less than 20-30 minutes. The battery is charged with a USB dongle that has 4 metal contacts that connect to the back of the remote. That dongle cannot be lost, or else you cannot charge your headphones. I always have it connected to the front of my computer at home, whenever I get home I just connect my headphones to it. When I am getting ready to leave, I just tug on one end of my headphones and they pop off the charger, already charged. If you find these on special, and understand that wireless headphone technology isn't quite there yet, these are perfectly fine headphone to keep for a couple of years until you see the technology improve.

I am very sensitive when it comes to music, i want absolute best when i am working out. My problem with my ear is, its not good at holding in ear earphones. But the new jay birds just fit so perfectly. I have attended meetings, phone calls and never had any disappointment so far. Excellent sound and grip.

Until landing on this product, I'd always viewed wireless earbuds as a luxury, rather than a necessity. I read encouraging reviews, got some advice from a Best Buy salesperson and took the relatively-inexpensive plunge. And am very, very happy with its consistent quality and ease of use. The 10-hour battery life is reliable, perfect for five two-hour workouts before charging back up. The buds connect via Bluetooth seamlessly. And the customizable earbuds provide great comfort.

Got them as replacements from the first pair that my cat chewed in two. Good battery life. Sound is pretty good but you need the Jaybird app to make them sound their best. Caught them on sale so they were 40.00 cheaper than the normal price. If you are looking for good solid earbuds, get these. Once you find the right combo of the ear pieces, they stay in really well and are comfortable. Just buy them already and quit procrastinating!

All of the reviews praising these over the freedoms are right. I'm telling you that these headphones sound great. I care about my music. Not an audiophile but I care and own about 6 different pairs of earbuds that range from 35 to 179 bucks. These are in the top 3 and they're even Bluetooth. Good battery. Just what it says. 8 hours ish. Please put the comply ear tips on. The default aren't as good IMO. . The comply tips seal better, and that leads to better bass and less outside noise. I got them on sale for 99bucks and that's a steal. They're worth 160 easy. Get the 2 year best buy warranty and they have your back for those 2 years because BT headphones sometimes go out on you out of nowhere.

These earphones cost a lot but, definitely worth it whether you live an active lifestyle or not. Sweat-resistant means never having to worry about sweat and/or water messing up your earphones. It definitely does take a little while to figure out the best fit since it comes with plenty of difference sized earbuds and wingtips but once you do the sound is amazing! The battery last about 8 hours or so as advertised and charging is quick too so battery life isn't a big worry for me. You can also customize the sound! So if you like bass like me you can add bass and it sounds amazing without losing any sound quality. Definitely would recommend these over other earphones around the 100-140$ price range.

This is my third pair of the Jaybird X line. The sound is honestly best I've tried (including Beats and Bose). I work out almost exclusively in a gym so sound isolation is a big deal to me. I don't want the guy rage grunting next to me mixing into to my music. The X3 is perfect for that and, with the included Comply tips, I don't have to play at max volume to achieve this. My only complaint is the charging system. I will agree that the X2 had a massive design flaw with the flimsy plastic cap covering the USB charger but that system had two distinct advantages; one, the fact that is was a universal USB - not this proprietary X3 contraption and two, the build of the X2 allowed for the cord controls to be small enough to not be noticeable. Because the X3 charging system stores the power in the controls they are pretty large and always bouncing around during wear. Also, the charger base isn't even an integrated cord; it's actually a weird dongle hanging off of a USB cord. Worst of all - try and find a replacement. Jaybirds' site is sold out of them. You can buy them on other sites but they run $50 DOLLARS! I bought the unit for $99 at Best Buy. So god forbid you ever run out and forget your charger, or worse, you lose it because you separated the cord from the dongle. It's also really awkward to dock the charger. Overall, terrible design. If you are comparing these to the Jaybird Run I would caution that you wait on the Run. They are the best fitting earbuds I've ever worn and the lack of wires is amazing but they are so quiet I literally couldn't hear my music over the noise of the gym. Even in a quiet room I could hear my dog breathing next to me at full volume. Great design but way, way to early to market.

Great sound and fit (took a little getting used to at first but lots of fitment options offered). The cord organizer is a nice way to get the length you desire (great for working out or running).

I’ve had every model of around the neck Bluetooth headphones from lg and Motorola. These exceed all of those in comfort and sound quality by a great amount. Was hesitant to try a new brand. But the app that comes with it and the ease of use made me want to buy other models from Jaybird as well.

I have used the Jaybird brand for several years now, and out of all of the brands I have used for working out the Jaybird brand is the one I always rely on. Other brands (notably J Lab) have solid offerings, but for reliability, comfort and sound I think Jaybird makes the best workout headsets. Why only 4 stars? While I like these headphones, my Jaybird Run headphones do not have wires and offer the same Jaybird quality.

I love the product! Simple to set up and use. Great sound! The Jaybird app gives the user complete control over the sound characteristics. You can choose from a number of presets, such as pop, rock, jazz, etc. or customize your own. You always know what the battery life is. I typically get 7-8 hours of use before recharging. However, I would prefer to have a standard charger connection instead of their proprietary charge clip. The Jaybird X3 also has controls for on/off, volume, etc, They come with a big variety of choices for fit as well. I liked them so much, I went back and purchased another set for my wife.

These wireless headphones are amazing. The fit is great. The sound is awesome b/c you can customize it through the Jaybird app. In other words a built in equalizer for the buds. Over the ear and regular use is comfortable. They connect really fast to your device after the first pairing. Something that beats x has too. They have the ability to pair two sets of these buds to one device so that you a friend can listen to the same music on a run/walk or just hanging out. The thing that made them standout even more is the foam earpieces that mold to the shape of your inner ear making them effectively noise proof. 9/10 Would buy again if I had to.

i bought these because they were on sale and the other colors were not. i dont care about the color, but i do care about the sound. This set of earphones is amazing to say the least. After you download the jaybird app you can unlock the full potential of these. It is flat out amazing how much you can change the EQ yourself and save it, or try other users settings and find a few you like. The Jaybird headphones sound much much fuller and richer than my old set of wireless Beats. With all the extra fins and stuff included you should have no problem getting a good secure fit. And the battery life is more than good enough.
