I have had every J-Bird X, the Beats 2, and multiple Sony, LG and Plantronics models. The X3 is easily the best. It is the loudest and best sounding and the mic performs reasonably well. Also, it appears to be both sweat and rain proof as I have used them successfully in a pretty heavy downpour. The reduction in price from the X2 makes it a no-brainer to recommend.

The battery life has truly improved from last model and the foam ear plugs covers help keep them in sweaty ears. I haven't tried using the little early lock things but might have to since they do start to push out of my ear after hard out put.

Picked these up and when I got home I found someone had opened the box and removed things. Went right back to Best Buy and customer service was great. They exchanged it with no questions and sent me on my way with what I wanted. The heahdohones are top notch, work great in the gym and sound is phenomenal. I highly recommend as a workout pair of headphones.

I can't get these to fit in my ears. They continuously fall out during workouts. Good sound, decent battery life, quick charge, but the fit is just not there no matter which buds are used.

I've owned the X2 since it's launch and decided to upgrade when the X3 was on sale. Overall there's subtle improvements in build quality and feel that improves on what was already a great wireless earbud. One misstep is the change to a proprietary charging cable, so it loses the universal charging of a micro-usb that the X2 had.

The earbuds are great and even better than the x2s. Smaller. Much easier to charge, and have even better sound. My only complaint would be the in and out of the Bluetooth connection from my Apple Watch every once in a while.

I was looking for a set I could wear while working out, and these fit the bill. I like how I could personalize the sound quality using the app. The only complaint was that occasionally the fins would fall off.
