I like these a lot! Middling bass performance is the only reason for the 4 stars. The overall sound quality is great! Ability to tune to personal preferences is a great feature.

They have a nice app for equalizer. Only con for me is the charging cradle, is expensive to replace. If u want lotsa bass go with Bose, but they have a good overall quality sound

I will start by stating that prior to these Jaybirds I bought several different earphones. I first bought the Klipsch wired buds with the phone controls on the wire. These are VERY good earbuds but I wanted to try the wireless versions. I then bough the Sony WH 1000 X2 buds for inside use. However, I paid $250 for them and I thought they sounded "OK" but not worth $250. I still wanted to try some wireless earbuds and read a lot of the Jaybird X4's. I will say this, "to me" the Jaybirds easily sound better than the high price Sony headphones. I liked the Jaybirds so much better I returned the Sony's and use the Jaybird's exclusively now, inside the house as well as outside. The Jaybird App. is awesome and allows you to tailor the sound to what you like, whether that be bass heavy or a flat sound field. These ear buds sound awesome no matter what type of music you like. They are also incredibly comfortable to wear and offer many sizes of adjustment, including the soft padded foam ones that some people like. Battery life has also been incredible and was originally one of the reasons I was hesitant to buy wireless buds. Don't be afraid, the Jaybirds last a full 8 hours. I usually only have to charge them 1-2 times per week tops. They are also sweat proof and waterproof. These are a definite must have for anyone who loves music.

Coming from the X3 I felt a minor difference in terms of comfortability. The audio quality has improved and the Bluetooth connectivity has gotten better with BT4.2. As the smart phones improve on Bluetooth, the headphones become better and decreasing the latency in audio and text “clicks” when typing. Audio stays in sync when watching YouTube as we hoped it would.

Great headphones Great sound and they hold a charge for long time

I had to returned these earbuds. I wanted a pair of wireless earbuds for the gym after my Solo Beats3 crapped out after 3 months. Anyway, on these Jay's I kept getting interference from other wireless headphones at the gym and the sound kept cutting out. It was too annoying to handle. Bestbuy took them back with no issues. Besides that, they were comfortable but I wasn't impressed with the sound compared to the beats3. Messed with the app and never really got the quality of sound I wanted.

These are a good choice for anybody who is active. Good battery life and simple to use. They can handle sweat well.

Sound is really good,easy to use and earpiece fits well

I’m somewhat of a Bluetooth headphone nut and ease of use, battery life and most importantly sound quality are very important to me. Equally important is feeling secure when you are wearing the headphones in your ears, not having to worry if they will fall out, not worrying about having to be careful etc. Battery life is also key and if you get all this along with water and sweat proof features, you have yourself a home run set of headphones. All this is present in the X4’s. Fitment options give you the ability to wear them over or under the ear and the various foam tip sizes included insure you have a secure, noise limiting fit in your ear. The X4’s are very comfortable and aren’t fatiguing wearing them for long periods of time. EQ is customizable with the app and they sound great. The only complaint I have and it’s a minor one is how they charge. Rather than having a micro usb on the headphones they charge by putting them on a proprietary connector that plugs into any usb charger, your pc etc to recharge. They charge quickly and it works well but I’m just afraid I might lose it then have an issue replacing it. They probably made this choice to save real estate on the headphones but I don’t like it. Despite that I still gave them 5 Stars...these are a great set of headphones and I would recommend them!

These jaybird x4 are one of the best headsets out in the market, the sound is incredible and IPX 7 water rating is awesome with up to 8hrs Of battery life it's really good compared to the common 4to6 hrs of battery life. Now as far as materials and workmanship I still haven't had any problems but some people report in similar models of jaybird falling apart as of time being everything looks good still. Overall that's why I gave these a 4 because I can't speak on the materials and workmanship of the product since I have bought them in the holiday, but so far so good: )
