I've done a lot of homework on choosing a SoundBar. I want good sound, decent display / user interface, if I pause a show it the SB should not "Power Off" (super annoying, and many of them do), and the ability to have my TV or Apple TV remote work to adjust the volume. BOOM! After trying Yama**a & returning it, I picked this one up after being really impressed wit the sound at the BB store display. The ability to hear many different SB's inside the store is a huge PLUS and I am loyal to BB for this reason. Anyway, I recommend this SB for the follwing : 1. has great, bright, balanced & natural sound that JBL is known for, 2. adjustable bass level, easy to switch from Low, Mid, or High right from the remote ; 3. white alphanumeric LED display (hidden in the front grille) lets you know what volume level you're at, what Bass level you've selected, and what source you've selected (Bluetooth, HDMI, or TV / optical input) It'll flash a message when you change one of these parameters, stays on for 3 seconds then disappears so as not to be distracting - PERFECT! 4. TWO different / selectable listening modes "Enhanced" for movies, "Standard" for talk / news, etc. 5. Software is updateable via USB port on the rear. I've had other SB's that are so frustrating and painful to use. This one fits every one of my requirements. Be aware that it does NOT have 'voice assist' such as Alexa, Google assist etc etc. Some folks appreciate having those features and if that's you, I'd check another model. Personally I dont use those on a SB. I am running this in a rather large family room and the sound is perfect. Highly recommend if you dont care about Alexa! Read the manual at JBL.COM to discover the features I described above, as they are not printed in the quick start guide.

This unit works great for my office! Plenty of sound and even more kick with subwoofer

I have the JBL 3.1 for my home theatre, and bought the 2.1 for our smaller setup. The 3.1 has simulated surround sound, and more audio sound options than the 2.1. The upgraded 3.1 has three more drivers in the soundbar and a larger woofer. The 2.1 does sound good, but the bass is almost overwhelming. The 2.1 woofer has only three settings: low med and high. For more balanced sound, I find that we have to turn the volume up higher than normal, and turn the woofer down. Overall it does a great job for the price. If you can upgrade to the 3.1, I would recommend it for better sound overall.

I replaced an older Polk Signa S2 when the wireless sub gave out. I had just finished moving so disposable income was at a minimum. Dolby Atmos was out of reach so I referred to the store manager who helped me. He had this model open box at an amazing price. Testing it at home I was really surprised how well it sounded . This thing melts face for the size of it. Deep bass that shakes the walls and clear and punchy highs and miss. Dialogue is clear and it really makes the viewing experience more immersive. If you want to upgrade over standard tv speakers without breaking the bank I highly recommend this soundbar. I’m sold on JBL and I’m looking at an Atmos setup for the future.

Sound is really clear, great for a town house or condo. If you dont have neighbors and are not limited to how loud you can listen to movies and music you should get the next level model for higher sound.

Really love the sound quality and the deep bass. It doesn’t take up a lot of space either. My wife and I enjoy watching our shows and movies off this surround sound. It was worth the purchase.

Great, but bought and couple days later, price went down, called in to get adjustment and have not seen price adjustment on cc and has been a month? Speaker system itself is great! Good sound, bass is great and easy to set up!!

Loud, Full, Clean sound without distortion. It is plug and play. 1 thing I do suggest is get an optical cable vs. the HDMI cable it comes with. Crisp high end and good deep base delivered from this unit

With a new 75-inch TV, you want to enjoy the sound of football games, NASCAR races, and blockbuster movies. JBL is a renowned company in audio. This is the first soundbar with a wireless subwoofer I've ever bought, but I'm glad I did! As I write this review, I'm watching the Browns/Jaguars preseason game. My wife laughed at me with the sound up - it sounded like we were at the stadium! I watched a Marvel movie earlier, and the movie was really enhanced by the sound quality of this JBL system. I've found a higher level of audio enjoyment. Thanks, Best Buy!!!

I had the bar lower in the room to start. the sound wasn't very good.Later mounted on top of mantle with the sub on the floor next to the fireplace. This coupling was better, and put the bar more in elevation with peoples heads when sitting on the couch. The remote is problematic and the buttons are not handy to push. I somehow locked up the sound bar into "store demo mode", the bar would not play at all. The manual had the wrong instructions to correct this, but I did finally get the thing back to normal. I don't think that this should be an option for a unit going to a user household. After using the bar for a while, all programming is fair to good sounding. If you wanted to have a canned EQ for each type of programming, this unit won't do that.

Awesome !!! So glad I purchased this item feels like I’m in a movie theater all the time !!! Great quality !!! Highly recommended no disappointment at all and for a fair price too !!!

It’s an amazing soundbar and I hope everyone tries it and Best Buy is also a legit store to get everything you want they are affordable too
