This JBL soundbar is my first soundbar purchase because I wanted an upgrade in sound to my TV. The sound is nice, lound and crisp and the subwoofer adds decent bass. The price is fair and is better than other soundbars I tested. Highly recommended!

It’s better sound than Polk. I like that you can see if it’s on your tv or hdmi or phone. Bass is good. Volume maxes out at 30. Loud enough but if you want the sound to rattle windows during movies...it’s not quite it! It just needs a bit more bass and a bit more volume. If your in a duplex or apartment I would say get it...if your in a house...but one step up from this. No headphone jack or ox cable on it.

Bought the Soundbar knowing the TV speakers were probably not going to cut it. Can honestly say that this is a great soundbar. Not Disapointed, but the reviews of this Subwoofer being a little lacking on the low end are slightly true. At low volumes, the sub is a little lacking but when you crank the volume up, the subwoofer performs fine. If you are not expecting the sub to Boom at all volumes, then you will be fine. I do keep the soundbar at max Bass at all times, just for the readers information. I have always had good experiences with JBL products. This product is just like all other JBL products, they focus on sound quality at mid and high ranges versus trying to go for the chest rattling sub performance. Over all I am happy with the product since I listen to a lot of podcast and spoken content, but don't buy if you are looking for the epic low end.

Purchased this soundbar when I purchased a new tv. The sound is very good and the woofer is so prominent I moved it further away. I prefer the bass at its lowest setting, but if you want more of a booming bass that’ll rattle your walls a little, you can achieve that. Since the woofer is totally wireless - just need a nearby plug - it is very convenient. One little quirk I’ve found is that, at least for me, the sound goes out of sync with peoples lips at least once per day and I need to reset it. The resetting is simple, but I find it a slight annoyance, hence the 4 stars. If I was able to give it 4 1/2, I would’ve.

I purchased this to replace my Bose solo 5 soundbar so that my Roku remote could control the volume through the HDMI ARC port. I got everything set up and plugged in the sub-woofer which connected flawlessly. The sound was great from the TV and through Bluetooth from my phone. The base setting on high shook the house and I had a smile from ear to ear. I bought a second for my basement tV. Very happy with the purchase!

I have been through many soundbar systems, covering most brands. I currently own this 2019 model JBL and a Klipsch system. What they both have in common is they offer great sound without having to muddle around futile settings that do nothing in the end. What I mean by that is that most subpar cheap soundbars try to dazzle you with a multitude of sound settings which in the end, all sound like crap. These two brands don't need use tactics like that because they use quality components and you can hear the difference. For a soundbar to sound good for any content, you need 3 things: Tweeters, Mid-Range Woofers and a good Sub-woofer for low range. Most cheap soundbars have a few Mid-Range woofers and a cheap sub-woofer and they sound awful in all scenarios. When you plug in this system, you only need to adjust the sub-woofer level. The sub-woofer has a digital adjustment of low, medium and high. Sub-woofer adjustment is something you should be able to do with any descent soundbar. If you can afford the 10" sub-woofer model, I would. The only critique that I have, is that instead of a digital sub-woofer adjustment of low, medium and high, put a control knob on the back of sub-woofer like Klipsch does; it also allows the base level to be fine-tuned. Otherwise some might find it convenient to instantly adjust the base from the remote. Overall, I’m very happy with this unit.

This is the little brother of the 5.1 system and it still performs like the 5.1. I have both the 5.1 and the 2.1 one in my living room and the smaller one in my room and the sound the 2.1 is considerable to the 5.1. The bass is deep and punchy. Perfect for listening to music and being able to feel the song. It’s excellent for watching movies and still getting that cinematic sound. Definitely worth every penny.

This is a solid option if you're looking for something in this price range and want more bass. Overall sound quality is good but not amazing. It lacks things like atmos and multiple sound profiles but for the price i wasn't expecting those kind of features. What sticks out most as mentioned above is the bass. Most soundbars near this price tend to have super cheap and weak subwoofers but this one is quite robust.

I bought this at a Best Buy Outlet store and It was an incredible deal. It's simple, easy to use and puts out great sound quality. I've used JBL products my entire life from my JBL L19 studio monitors in the 70's until today. Best sound there is!!!

Sounds great, base works well, easy setup, low price for decent quality. Doesn't get super loud but has good sound quality. My only major issue with this sound bar is not being able to control the base/treble/highs/lows levels.

At this point I can review the sound quality (good) cannot say how long it will last as I have only had it for 1 month. For the price point and it being a sound bar this unit provides good quality sound and decent bass for being a 6.5 inch woofer. I was surprised at the overall clean sound. I have it connected to the TV using the fiber optic line. I needed a basic sound bar without all of the connect to this, that, and the other thing. I don’t need to talk to it and have it respond. I was just looking for something that sounds better than the TV speakers and this unit does it. I tested the Bluetooth once and it connects. In my opinion this is a good option if someone needs a home sound system and does not have space for a full system, it’s a good 2 for 1 solution. I saw other reviewers say this thing is no good. I am not sure what they expected from a $250 sound bar….7.2 home theater sound..?? Yeah that’s comparing apples to oranges. People need to be realistic.
