I purchased this soundbar online since all showrooms have been closed. I was a little leery about getting the tiny 6.5" subwoofer, but it is rated at 200 watts and overall the system sounds really good. I mounted the 100 watt soundbar above my tv for two reasons- to have it far enough away from the sub below as recommended, and also to keep it from sitting by the tv stand where it would have blocked the tv remote's signal. Nice clean highs, and the bass is deep and rich when you need it. With it's remote, you have three settings for the woofer that you can change accordingly.

After doing my research and reading many, many reviews, I purchased this unit as an upgrade to a 5-year old Samsung soundbar (200 Watt). Installation was quick and simple as the sub is paired to the bar in the factory. Some reviews mentioned no instructions for pairing the sub to the bar. My instructions clearly included the steps but no need to do so as it's paired before boxed. Used an HDMI (ARC) connection since they provided the cable w/ the unit. Most of our viewing is done through Apple TV/projector with a Bluetooth connection to the soundbar. The quality of the sound through Bluetooth is extremely impressive and actually more robust than the direct connection to the smart TV. There is no audio lag or need to sync through Bluetooth as some others have mentioned. I also have an Xbox One connected to the unit (HDMI In), and the sound quality is phenomenal. My son had to dial down the volume to "7" (max 32) while playing Warzone. The overall sound quality is significantly and noticeably better than the previous Samsung 2.1 unit. In my opinion, turning off "smart mode" improved the volume and sound quality of both movies and music. The bar produces very clean and crisp sound and voices are crystal clear. The sub hits at appropriate times and definitely lets you know it's there! JBL's design of the down-firing sub is just remarkable. There are three levels for the sub (low, medium, high) but it will remain on high at all times in my home! The remote is as basic as they come, which I appreciate. Aside from adjusting the input and sub level, the remote will remain idle. The Apple TV remote "learned" the soundbar immediately and adjusts the volume. Pros: installation ease, sound quality, compatibility with other devices, Bluetooth pairing/quality, basic remote, and HDMI cable and wall-mount accessories included Cons: having to turn off "smart mode" every time the bar is powered on Additional advice: Review the instructions as it relates to disabling your TV internal speakers, enabling PCM, and enabling HDMI-CEC. Depending on the age of your TV, the connection will likely be recognized but you will likely need to make these adjustments through your TV. Overall, I am very satisfied with the unit and highly recommend it to those looking to upgrade quality without breaking the bank.

Very happy with the JBL soundbar! It has more bass than I expected and was easy to set up. I put the bass on high when I'm listening through Spotify and put it on low when I'm watching TV. Great purchase when you are looking to elevate your audio enjoyment!

This was a little gift to the hubby and he is in love with it. He keeps exclaiming, "and that's with the bass set at medium!" He has been very happy with the quality of sound and also says, "i can't imagine how good the 5.1 is if this just their 2.1."

I bought a Yamaha YAS-109 before I got this, and then decided to return it and get this instead after reading most reviews saying the Yamaha stopped working after a short while. This JBL is higher quality in every single way. Everything is displayed on front of the soundbar so you can see what’s going on at all times, you can do everything with the remote without needing an app to control it, and the bass is absolutely killer. Shakes my entire living room.

We are very happy with this soundbar and subwoofer. Very well balanced sound and frequency, dialog is clear. Zero delay and no drops with the wireless subwoofer, its ALWAYS on point! Yes i absolutely recommend this!!

I purchased this soundbar for the tv in the kitchen but may have to move it to the living room. I'm a fan of JBL products and this does not disappoint, easy to set up and sounds great.

High quality, durable and amazing theatre sound! The sound quality and subwoofer are amazing. We placed the sound bar under the tv and subwoofer behind the couch. More than enough sound power for a great experience.

Very nice product, compact but very loud, usually have to lower it down a bit.Real easy to instal, 2 power plugs in the wall, and one HDMI cable from TV to sound bar, and blue tooth links right up. Worth the money.

I always liked JBL brand as it has quality sound. The price is reasonable too. The soundbar has clear sound and the sub woofer deep base is amazing! i had my subwoofer on medium and i live in an apartment and had the next door neighbor knock on my door saying he cant hear his TV and if i could turn the bass down. Oops i turned it down to low. I guess it works too good. I am enjoying my new soundbar!

My JBL sound bar sounds spectacular whether on my phone listening to music or on my TV to watch an action movie, the bass is impressive

Excellent sound bar and subwoofer!! You will not be disappointed with your purchase. We just have to see how they hold up to the test of time. But so far so good! Wonderful wholesome base!! Intensify any of your viewing or gaming experience!

Love it, for its size, it works how it’s supposed to, can be loud if you’re into loud sounds, but overall, would recommend..

I’ve had this sound bar for 4 years now. Sometimes it randomly disconnects to my TV and it’s a pain to reconnect, however, it works 98% of the time extremely well and JBL’s support is easy to work with. It handled a cross country move perfectly fine. JBL

Easy to use and great sound quality. Maybe the bass is a bit much which sometimes makes hearing voices a bit hard, but i think it could be adjusted.

This is the best sound bar i came across yet, the quality of sound is amazing and the bass is of the chain. This is a must purchase for anyone that loves quality sound.
