First off this thing gets LOUD! I went from a Sony soundbar that was decent to this and there is no comparison with the 2. The JBL outshines in about every aspect. The bass the sub puts out is pretty unreal for such a setup.

Deep base with pre set sounds. Easy to connect. Refined look. Sometimes when turning on the tv i need to use the jbl remote to turn on the sound but this is nothing compared to when the sound is working. Really is the best.

I heard them in store then decided to buy the 3.1 because it focused more on the AUDIO aspect of whatever is playing. I had a 5.1 SAMSUNG unit before and was disappointed in its performance when it came to the center speaker (audio). Just couldn't hear the words very good anymore. But this 3.1 by JBL is ABSOLUTELY wonderful, what a turn around. The BASS is most impressive (even has a subwoofer volume control) and i can hear everything said in movies that i play. Wireless is also a plus so for the money it's well worth it! I am VERY happy with this unit.

I was not sure about a sound bar to replace our surround sound but this product by JBL is amazing! Not only does it have a night mode to turn off the bass, the arc setup to my TV was super easy so I don't need 2 remotes!

Good looks and value. The sound bar looks sleek and performs very well. The subwoofer has good base and the set works right out of the box since setup is very simple. I have had no issues whatsoever.

Bought this right before Christmas for my husband. I was between the 2.1 JBL and the 3.1, so glad I went with the 3.1 it sounds amazing & I got it on sale. Bass & everything, I couldn't ask for more & the husband is completely content!

Great option for upgrading your TV experience. Soundbar was purchased for the super bowl. Great value at $ 179.00. It provides lots of BASS but you can adjust as needed. Easy set & connection.

The 3.1 Channel Soundbar System puts out great sound with adjustable bass to make concerts and some movies rock the house. It allows speaking to he understood at lower volume levels than the tv itself.

This thing pumps the bass that's for sure but still seems to be lacking a little up front. When it's on sale for $279 though it's a great deal. I'll put it in the bedroom when the new eARC units come out later in 2020.

I had the Samsung 450 and it sucks. I upgraded to this one and I will never look back. This one has better bass than the Samsung plus also sounds louder. if you don't want loud buy the Samsung one.

Bought this to replace an old 100w RCA blu-ray surround system. The old system was anemic at best with 100 watts total for 5 channels and the sub included. This JBL packs a lot of sound in the bar, with a wireless sub rated at 300 watts. Great sound, great surround effect. Love it. Also it has plenty of inputs that are self sensed when you turn the connected device on. Very handy. Originally bought a bigger name unit, that had 1 count them 1 input and the volume control was via the tvs volume control. And the sub was a big $$ option. I didnt even take that one out of the box, brought it back and bought this one for less money and better performance!

This speaker was the greatest gift I got for my husband he loves it a lot and it’s amazing we use it in our party’s aswel for the músic and it’s amazing loud and clear we hear it best product that I got

Bought a flat screen and love the viewing. The sounds did not go with the TV. I know flat screens are not known for their speakers. Added these and sounded great and very deep bottom ends.

Looked at this and Bose (this one is a third of the price with subwoofer). Easy set up, wish it would have come with an optical cable but no big deal as I already had one. You can't beat this for the money.

Like the title said, the sound bar was good. Sound quality was good the sub woofer gave off a lot bass, maybe too much. The only major problem that it gave me was that when there is a short period of silence in what you are hearing, the soundbar goes into a type of sleep mode. I contacted JBL about it and they sent me an update for the device, but to no avail. Apparently this is a common "feature" across most of their sound system lineup. The product was returned.

Really enjoy this sound bar with our new bigger screen TV. Makes a big difference in the sound and can be adjusted for different situations, i.e. movies, music, etc. Very pleased with it!!!

Love this thing. Great sound. Cant figure out how to connect subwoofer tho. It didnt have a remote either super unhappy about that so not sure what to do? Any ideas on how to set it up or on how to get a new remote?

After a couple of weeks of research for a sound bar we went to the Best Buy store to listen to the sound of this sound bar, now after we listened to the Polk Soundbar 3.1 with the 8" Sub woofer we where undecided on which one to get between the two so we when home and finally ordered the JBL 3.1 online . At the store the JBL soundbar was on demo mode and there is not many stuff that you can do or try when is in demo mode so we felt like it was a little bit weak for our taste, but when we got the one we ordered online and hook it up with the TV the sound was amazing, Powerful Sub woofer and crystal clear sound made the JBL sound bar the best product for the price that we had owned in a while. I think if i have to choose again i will choose the same JBL sound bar.

We bought a large screen TV and while the picture was great the sound lacked. The JBL sound system has fixed this problem. I don't think I ever need to go to the movie theater again.
