However the unit shuts down its audio processing when it detects no signal (in between menu clicks or during a loading screen in a video game), and there is a significant delay to start back up. Trust me it is infuriating and I have no idea how something like this could make it through production without being identified in testing. There is an ongoing complaint that you can read about in Reddit where people have communicated with JBL support who is promising a new firmware update to reduce processing time to .6 seconds...but that update is yet to come (current firmware .49 which I confirmed I have) and I think it would still be a deal breaker after. The worst part is it still does it with the analog 3.5mm input! Which means the unit is probably digitizing the signal and then forces it through the same processing circuit with the delay. Just to be sure I hooked up a Logitech speaker set to make sure it wasn't any of my other devices. I am so tired of the computerization of everything and miss the days when speakers just worked. Im sure its done to save on power consumption but its definitely not worth it. This unit will still work great as a bluetooth stereo device (most songs dont have breaks with silence) and you wont get this kind of punch hardly anywhere else at this price range. But definitely dont get it for gaming. I wish companies would just skip all the silly audio processing gimmicks and power saving techniques and just give us simple, effective audio solutions.

Voices were clear but a bit tinny sounding. Same with music. Our room may have been too big for speaker. Could be good for smaller space. Easy to hook up, light, good size. We returned it and purchased a more powerful unit from best buy.
