Subwoofer went bad

Loved the system up until recently when the subwoofer started making weird popping crackling noises. Now it also makes a very faint alarm clock type noise from the back of it.

poor operation

Pretty disappointed in JBL.

No mid range. Vocals sound hollow. Not a good buy.

Ok sound bar

I had a Samsung 2011 model and the sound was much more “complete” then this jbl. Not to mention the sound kept cutting out every 5 minutes. I will be returning it immediately after 2 days of use.

Great sound

If it wasmt for that it would be the perfect soundbar

Unimpressed.

Not a great sound

Connection issues

Unfortunately it has connection issues. Sometimes when you turn the sound down it also goes all the way up. More problems than it worth.

Will NOT Pass HDR Signal

I have tried with multiple different brands of televisions, different Roku Ultras, an XBox One X, and a 4k Blu Ray player. The televisions receive the 4k HDR and Dolby Vision signals fine directly from the source. Once the sound bar is placed in between, the HDR and Dolby Vision signals are lost.

HDR or High Dynamic Range video describes video having a dynamic range greater than that of standard-dynamic-range video (SDR video). Worked pretty good for the first few weeks.

Lately, not so good.... Sometimes it just stops working and sometimes makes a crazy screeching sounds when I turn on the TV. Changed to an optical input, then HDMI input and back to optical... still not happy with my purchase. I wish I could return it for a new one but my return time limit has expired last month.

Worst remote ever in the history of remotes

Trying to get the sound bar to do what I need shouldn't be this hard. Simply trying to change the volume is a challenge. I press up and the volume goes down then up or press down and the volume might go up. Trying to change the settings is almost impossible. Currently its only playing out of 1 speaker but sounds like an old am radio channel. Buyer beware and/or purchase the extended warranty.

JBL 3.1...Get you one!!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I rarely ever do reviews...but always rely on them to purchase electronics (as well as go test the product in stores, if available) I'm telling you this soundbar rocks if you are looking for a sound system under $1000 that has Crisp His, very audible Mids (for dialogue) and BASS!! Did I mention BASS!! MOST soundbars with wireless subwoofers just Don't cut it! BUT JBL DID IT! I went to JBL website and they are about to release a 5.1 version...can't wait for that one to release..I will purchase that one and put the 3.1 in the bedroom! Awesome Buy..could not be happier...Everything worked straight out the box..the HDMI Arc, the bluetooth...

Sub-woofer did not pair, subpar customer support

Disconnected power from soundbar and sub-woofer for 5 minute then plug/pair again. No luck. So I reset the soundbar then pair again. No luck. Contacted customer support, informed the sub-woofer is not pairing even after trying "manual pair"/"power off 5 minute"/"reset and pair". Contacted customer even didn't read the case and asked me to manually pair and if not working reset and pair. So I returned the soundbar.

Consistency would be great

Was told i would be called when it came in stock. It has been six months and no response to my phone calls or letters. Still waiting! When i look under purchases it says too late to return. If i dont get a call back i am going to have to bring them to small claims court

Really bad

IT it beyond frustrating and i am so close to returning it and getting a different unit from BOSE!!
