    Sub woofer wouldn’t connect

    Tried numerous times to get the sub woofer to connect. Tried various methods. Contacted JBL directly. Took them five days to reply with the same directions that the manual said. So we returned it and got a Vizio soundbar with a slim wireless subwoofer and had zero issues getting the sub woofer to sync.

    So after a couple of weeks with the new sound bar I have to say it is one of the best I ever heard. I upgraded from a Samsung HW450F and have to say 100% different. Everything is more clear and the bass is incredible. I watched the new King Kong movie and just watched Dunkirk last night and absolutely fantastic, a couple of times my wife and I jumped because the sound was so amazing lol. I'm 55 years old and still like to rock out also and playing music on the sound bar is equally amazing. I actually have to turn the bass down a little to balance it out. I was so impressed by this sound bar that I bought my son the same one for Christmas! And now he is amazed by the sound and won't stop talking about it lol. I ended up getting mine for a great price over $175.00 off. Buy this sound bar and you won't be disappointed. Are there better sound bars out there? probably but you'll pay more for a lesser sound. It's just my opinion and I'm sticking by it.

    Very disappointed with this open box purchase, you think it might miss a cable or 2 which they are missing by the way but missing the REMOTE is very frustrating and on the description does not said it missing REMOTE I ask the guy who brought the package to the pick up drive through and I ask him if the remote is the and he yes yes it is . Big lie the was no REMOTE

    It is unsyncing with the subwoofer everyday. When it works, it sounds great.

    Sub failed, now soundbar won't turn on

    I have had my soundbar for less than a year. I had to exchange it the first time because my subwoofer would make loud popping noises. Now a few months later the soundbar itself will not turn on. I will have to send it back under warranty. I just want my money back at this point. I would not recommend this product!

    started out with a similar 3.1 system from JBL. Ended up switching to this due to connectivity issues I was having with the JBL. Saved some money over the JBL and haven't had the some connectivity problems, but the sound itself is far inferior to that of the JBL. In hindsight, I would have stuck with the JBL and tried to work through that.

    When I went to pick up my product the guy at Best Buy automatically told me “if it doesn’t want to pair press the button on the back” when I got home and tried pairing the product it did not work. I tried for hours and it just wasn’t happening . Wouldn’t recommend it so I returned the product

    OMG ... WORST SOUND BAR EVER!!! I was really surprised because JBL is usually a good product. TRUST ME. It's NOT what you want and it will never sound anything greater than a tin can. Go for the Harmen Karden or Sonos. Yes a bit more money but at the end of the day, the sound quality is perfection ... from a SOUNDBAR.

    Subwoofer became popping and started observing continuous noises and disconnects after 6 months from the purchase. Does go noisy after few min of re-pairing. Totally wasted money and annoyed by popping bass noises. Don’t buy it.

    Had to return three times for repairs but luckily the third time, Best Buy let me exchange it. The sound was good when it worked, but the subwoofer was junk. It made a really loud fireworks noise. Very heavy, huge, took up a lot of space.

    Returned due to malfunction, I installed it in my house and it did not work, we tested in the store and they did not work either, later I found out that JVC was bought by the Chinese and I understood, poor quality

    JBL has always been a top brand when it comes to audio speakers and this sound bar is no exception. The highs and mids are excellent and the bass is thunderous and clean. You will not be dissapointed with this sound bar. It rivals sound bar systems that cost twice as much. The best thing about it for me was I am able to use my cable remote to control the volume. I only need to use 1 remote to control the sound bar, TV and cable box.

    Fiance bought this unit for me for my birthday and the speaker gave occasional feedback. Now the soundbar has turned off and will not turn back on. I purchased on 2/12 and it stopped functioning on 5/2. Do not buy!!

    Sub stopped working after a year. JBL was no help. Told me to take it into an authorized dealer in Maryland. I live in Illinois.

    I have done a lot of research over the past month looking for the best deal on a good soundbar. I looked at a few big name systems and was not impressed with reviews and specs that I read on several websites and professional review sites...until I happened onto the JBL 3.1 Bar with 10" Subwoofer. Reviews said this thing had massive bass and clear concise mids and highs. I did read that the settings were kind of sparse but the preset settings for movie, sports, talk, etc...are very good and the middle channel for voice is just about perfect. I have trouble hearing voice dialog on a standard tv speaker and this soundbar really shines in that the voices are clear and I have no problem hearing them. Setup was so easy that my grandson could have done it. I have a Samsung 58" NU7100 that is in my opinion a very nice unit. The speakers...meh....not so much. I plugged the included HDMI cord from the soundbar into the HDMI ARC jack on the tv and soundbar, plugged the subwoofer in, punched the pairing button on the back and voila...it was ready to go. I just had to make a couple of settings changes on the tv and I was ready to watch Saving Private Ryan at 32 volume. Holy crap! I set the bass at 22 and it rumbled my house and I could feel the rumble in my gut in the beginning scene and the bridge scene. It blew me away with how it sounded like I was right there. Unbelievable. I highly recommend this unit if you are looking for a good midrange soundbar with high end characteristics. The price is higher than the same tier competitor but well worth it. I actually received a $50.00 off coupon from Best Buy for anything over $100, so I used it. Great deal.

    Poor directions accompanied this speaker. Ended up returning the unit due to the inability of setting it up properly.
