I was looking for a soundbar and did A LOT of research. I listened to different soundbars for 2 weeks before deciding on this one. I love the 10" sub. It puts out tons of bass. It is a great value for a 3.1 and a 10" Sub. I see a ton of reviews complaining about this soundbar. Unless you are willing to pay for a Sonos or Bose soundbar for $500 and then another $500 for a sub then you should be happy with the JBL at its price point. My sub connects flawlessly every time. I own a JBL Extreme and JBL/UA Train headphones and they are both amazing as well. I love the LED readout that shows me the info, i.e. volume level, source, bass level etc. instead of relying on lights. My final choice came down to the JBL BAR 3.1 and the Yamaha 207BL 2.1. The Yamaha's 6 1/2 bass couldn't fill the room and the I thought the dialogue was better on the JBL. The clear voice function on the Yamaha really didn't make a big difference. The only thing the Yamaha had was a better mid range. My 15 year old son and his friends couldn't believe how good the JBL sounded when listening to music.

After 2 minths tge sub was making cracking sounds and popping noises. The soundbar stopped wirjing completely after 3 years. Not a great product.

The JBL soundbar sounds really good but the best feature is the different ways you can connect to it. There's multiple HDMI inputs as well as all the wired or wireless anyone needs. Sound quality is above average for this price point.

I don't normally write reviews, but this system sounds so good that I had to. Awesome sound, heavy deep bass combined with exceptional clarity. Not sure too many systems can match up to it.

Before you purchase this item, check to determine if your TV is equipped with an optical audio port. If it has an optical audio port, spend the extra $20 dollars and purchase an optical audio cable. This does not come with the optical audio cable regardless of what the Best Buy salesperson tells you. It makes it so much easier to set this system up using the optical audio cable instead of a HDMI cable. Once you hear this system, you will not regret purchasing it.

great sounding sound bar and subwoofer.. when set in the correct spot inside the room and on movie settings, it’s enough to vibrate through my couch, rattle doors and knock stuff off counters.. however 4 years and 3 months later to the day, the subwoofer has decided to kick the dust, getting random feedback even at very low volumes (0-15) but i would say i got my moneys worth out of it..

First of all the sound is amazing. It was really easy to hookup, took less than 10 minutes. I really enjoy watching action movies because of the bass. The only reason I can’t give it a higher rating is the sound cuts out intermittently when watching movies. I read this would happen but thought this issue would be fixed by now with firmware updates. Seriously considering returning it since I have never had this issue with other sound bars in the past.

This sound system sounds amazing with my 65” Sony TV

Love my system. Mainly use it for music from my phone but sounds amazing with movies as well. The base is impressive.

This soundbar blew me away. By far the best one I've ever owned. The bass shakes my entire house at half volume. Amazing!

This JBL combo is fantastic and a major upgrade compared to an old sony 5.1 combo I had. I was impressed by it at the store but WOW at home it killed it and performed flawlessly on movies, videos and bluetooth! Definitely worth more than the 500 bucks it costs. The sound is crisp and hi-fi when even on high and the bass is just incredible and thunderous for its size. I was shocked! Setup was easy but I did have to google/youtube on pairing the sub. Other than that, just perfect.

Just wow, awesome sound bar. Bass sounds super awesome. Easy setup and it worked just fine with my Sharp tv which is a non 4K tv.

I listened to several products at Best Buy. This product provides full rich sound at a decent price point. I couldn't tell the difference between this unit and ones at double the price. The sound bar has 6 speakers inside it providing left, center, and right channels. There is also a separate wireless subwoofer that provides deep bass. This unit can get really loud. It was easy to hook up with hdmi pass through. I'm very happy with it.

Great sound, especially the bass. Only drawback is that it is prone to disconnect when sound drops out (like when a show goes to commercial or you switch apps/programs on your TV or computer). This is a known issue for this soundbar and is slightly annoying as once it cuts out, it takes a second to pick back up once it detects a sound signal again.

Good sound. Bass is more than enough. If you want good sound jbl is the way to go.

I was impressed with the bass in the store but when I got it home and set it up I was blown away. The sound was clear and crisp, the bass makes it feel like you are in a theater. I guess I purchased this just in time the price has gone up to $499. I am probably going to purchase another to replace my current LG in my living room space.

This is the first soundbar I have come across that has real power. 450 RMS this thing is LOUD and the bass is powerful with no distortion. My house distorts. Not the sub. I literally can hear my house vibrate because of the bass. Great value and upgrade. I upgraded from a Samsung soundbar. This JBL blows it away. Need I say more...

Sounds awesome love it but only for watching movies not for playing music the sound bar goes in and out when I turn the volume up past 23 wish I can fix it or return it....

Sound bar gets loud that's for sure. Not much mids but the bass and highs are so good it makes up for it. Sub hits hard and I love it. Not much surround sound if that's what your expecting. Problem with this sound bar is it's reliability. Got the bar new and after few months the sub would not sync. Jbl sent me refurbished unit and that lasted 2 months and the bar and sub would not sync. Got the Samsung N650 instead and it's been very reliable and sounds better from the bar itself but does not have the bass like Jbl. Wish Samsung would put better sub since they own jbl.
