Detachable speakers are a very nice touch! Phenomenal sound quality. The bass is incredible and very deep. Dolby Atmos rocks. The autocalibration makes the viewing experience awsome! The most important feature is eARC HDMI port. If you have a quality TV, You need eARC not ARC. The sound quality goes up substantially! If you're clueless to this post, buy something cheap.

This sound bar is awesome. I love the sun as it supplies so much power I usually have the sun woofer setting on level 3 out of 5. I love being able to adjust the tear speakers as they are truly wireless. Just don’t forget to recharge the rear speakers as they will die after about 3-4 hours of use. Great value for your money.

I really wanted to love this. Let me tell you why I don't. My goal was to have great sound for movies, and if streaming music sounded good as well then that would be a bonus. I also wanted to avoid, if possible, running wires for rear speakers. I wasnt expecting miracles with wireless rear speakers. Upon installation the updates completed successfully right away. The first sound calibration completed successfully, but the second calibration kept giving me a "try again" message. At this point, out of the box, I was NOT happy, but I left it be overnight, giving the detachable speakers time to fully charge, and I gave it another go in the morning. I was able to complete the second sound calibration successfully, and I spent the entire day putting this sound bar through the paces. As far as music is concerned, this is a solid no for me. I wish it did, because I love music (all genres) and I'm particular about the sound. But again my focus was on movies, I have plenty of things to play music from. I have a soundbar I paid less than $300 for (tax included) that gives me goosebumps when I stream music through it, but doesn't handle movies well, which is what led me to this purchase. Back to my testing. I went through several movies testing sounds and actions, like Marvel and Transformer movies, and other movies that contain sounds like rain, water, doorbells, cell phone sounds, fight scenes (I have a whole list of test movies lol). And all the action sounded really good. And I probably would've kept this but for one small thing. If I had the ability to adjust the center channel. The dialog sounds low to me. I'm one of those people that normally watches things with captions on. I don't have a hearing problem, I just don't like turning the tv up and down (overly loud commercials, etc). I found myself having to adjust the volume between action and speaking scenes with this soundbar. The only things you can adjust on this system are the Atmos, bass, and rear speakers (selections are high, med, low, or mute). I will also mention that I have a high, vaulted ceiling (and open floor plan) so I adjusted my Atmos expectations accordingly. Having said all of that, the more I got to thinking about how much I spent for this. I would've been satisfied with this system if it did one thing REALLY well. But for it to do one thing pretty good (and suck at the other thing, music), for $1000, and I know there are other sounbars that cost less and allow me to make many more adjustments, I had to take it back. Instead, I ordered a Nakamichi 7.1.4, and my son has graciously set up his 7.2.4 for me to play with until I receive it. What I've learned so far is the 7.2.4 is a much better deal for the same price as this JBL. So much so that I'm thinking of changing my order to the 7.2.4, the two subwoofers sound awesome. And, there are a ton of adjustments you can make to customize the sound to your environment.

absolutely awesome soundbar. Crystal clear sound, killer bass (I usually keep it at level 3 out of 5 - but sometimes ill bump it to 4) . I do wish there was a way to change EQ settings, but the default configuration is quite good. To be honest, I don't disconnect the satellite speakers. I just keep them hooked up to the main soundbar. I'm happy that it has support for basically all the newer audio standards

The JBL Sounder System with Subwoofer has been great. It replaced an old Bose system. It helps with hearing voices that are too low on the TV and also has an amazing base. We love using it while watching movies. The removable speakers are easy to use and we have had no issues. Best sound system that we have found at this price point. Set-up was easy and we have had no issues with the sound bar.

This soundbar and base unit combo are amazing. Great surround sound when all speakers are in front, but even better when you remove the detachable rear speakers and place them behind your seating area. True surround sound without tripping over wires. If you like heavy base in your sound experience, you won't be disappointed. This thing thumps!

I was skeptical due to the price tag. My older $150 soundbar lasted me 10 years before I considered a replacement. Like most of you I check reviews from multiple sites before purchasing, I had rewards points banked, so i cashed in quite a few of them in order to purchase this at a semi reduced price. set up is easy, I tried the optical and HDMI ARC to see which one sounds better, the ARC connection produced flawless sound throughout the volume range. Set-up was a breeze (only issue is if you are going to mount it underneath the TV or wall mount, under TV ensure you follow your TV mounts recommended procedure, for wall mount the soundbar comes with brackets and instructions for proper installation) The wireless surround sound is AWESOME, you can detach the speakers and place them for proper sound and depending upon what you are listening too or watching they average around 10-12 hours before having to remount them to the sound bar for charging. also you can plug these in to a regular 110 outlet (via not supplied micro USB charging cables and the corresponding outlet plugs.) I have mine mounted and powered via the micro USB, but having the option to remount them to the soundbar is a huge benefit if you entertain and want to use it for music via Bluetooth or your local cable provider music channel and you want more directional music verses surround sound. Overall, I waited over a month before providing this review and this soundbar has performed flawlessly, I would most-definitely purchase again!

I was initially happy with the sound of this system, until I tried to calibrate it to the room. The system simply would not calibrate, and I continued to get the "retry" over and over. I tried everything. The detachable surround speakers are a great idea, and the bass was very good, but if I can't calibrate then back it goes.
