Awesome sound system, makes you feel like you are in a theater. Its great with our new 85" TV

This system is the closest to wireless one can get. The rear speakers have their batteries built in (no power cords), and communicate through bluetooth (no audio cords). There are three cords required, power and HDMA/Audio to the main unit, and power to the subwoofer. If one wants, they can power the rear speakers by USB. A fantastic system.

Wow, I cant say enough about this unit! It sounds like a movie theater in your house.

Before I bought the JBL 9.1, I tried Samsung, Sonos, and Visio Dolby Atmos home theater systems with my Hisense 65" U8G and my Apple TV 4K, 2nd Generation. The JBL 9.1 is the best, and it's not close. Voice, bass, surround, and atmos are robust and clear at even the highest volume. The 3D location/sound effects are top shelf. And the 9.1 can get very loud if that's what you want. For music, the 9.1 is just as excellent. Listening to Apple Music's Dolby Atmos pop/rock playlists puts you in the middle of a live concert for every song. It's no wonder because JBL makes most high-end, highly regarded commercial and home theater systems. One thing though. Don't update the firmware. The factory firmware is perfect out of the box. But each firmware update lessened the volume and the atmos/surround effects until the effects didn't work at all. Performing a factory reset fixed all the issues. So the 9.1 gets an A+ on sound and an F on firmware updates.

This sound system is the best I’ve ever had. It has amazing clarity and amazing bass. I would absolutely pay the extra money to get this if you’re thinking about getting a cheaper system but you have the money. I just wish the two back speakers would turn on automatically when you turn on the main speaker. Other than that it’s fantastic.

I researched all comparable sound bars and kinda skeptical settled on order the JBL. From opening the box to having the sound system up and running with my OLED TV, it took less than 15 min. A very simple install and user friendly system. Love the wireless rear speakers that automatically connect to the sound bar (like the sub). Atmos sound watching Star Wars literally shook my house!

Got lucky enough to find this as an “open box” still $900 but everything was factory wrapped. The sound quality is phenomenal, very good bass and thr surround sound makes the living room sound like a movie theater!

My wife has been nagging me for years to go wireless. It cetainly does look better without all the yards of cables everywhere. My previous system was a Polk Audio 5.1 wired system and I will say the Polk bass had a little bit richer, deeper sound and the mid-range on this system could be better. You need to turn it up a bit to really hear speaking but then of course all the other volumes go up as well. I have mounted the rear speakers and have them continually charging with USB cables so I wont have to ever move them back to the soundbar to charge, which is nice. All in all, I would recommend this system as it does sound pretty good.
