Unmatched sound. Looks extremely classic. App integration is “so so” as to only Tidal and Amazon music are the only Dolby Atmos sources “allowed”. The JBL app is not fully thought out and limited as you can only control three EQ bands. For this much money I expect more configurable control. NO REMOTE of any kind (?), but responsive voice control. Spotify and Apple Music both can do highest bit rates and sound great, but no surround support for either. Shame two most popular apps don’t get full support. I expected a lot more for this price. Got it on sale which made it more appealing. Overall very satisfied with look and sound. If the app integration was better I’d give it 5 stars.

I bought this to replace a B&O smaller speaker and there is a big difference. Easy to use and connect. nothing bad to say about it.

Excellent sound and pairs really nicely with my Bluetooth record player. I love the warm sound the built in subwoofer really fills in the sound.

I was initially attracted to this as I have a pair of JBL Century speakers, the sound quality on the Authentics 500 are incredible, well balanced with deep bass response. The speaker looks good and is heavy, I use this at work for streaming Pandora (yea, I know, overkill, sue me, lol) and it replaced an old Bose Sound Dock that took a dump. My only quibble is if you pause the stream for more than a couple of minutes, you loose the Bluetooth connection, at this price point I expect better.

Wow! This unit is spectacular. The sound is so rich and real that it’s mesmerizing. I purchased one for home, and bought 2 more for my restaurant. Just fantastic.

Absolutely blown away with the quality and it just works. No connection issues, no waiting. It's just so rare to get a connected device that just works flawlessly like it's supposed to. Every song is like hearing it for the first time because we're hearing these little details we've never heard before and with no distortion. I highly recommend this speaker.

the UI app could use a little work and the volume a little better control but the sound quality is the best thing smoking at this price point, and even better when paired in stereo

Great little 3way speaker that has rich robust vibe for a small speaker. Bass and midrange are good while the tweeters seemed a little restrained. It is pleasure listening to this speaker.

So bought this speaker last night. I was in love with the sound on it. Highs and lows are perfect. Returning it tonight, here’s why, you can’t pair it with a JBL party speaker. Also, it has Alexa and google, this answers your questions about the weather and other things you don’t need. The worst the 200 and 300 have a power button. There is no way to power this off, 600 dollars and you can’t turn it off. If a rep see this before tonight and there is a way of turning it off. I might keep it. I’m pretty tech savvy, there’s no way of turning it off.i guess if you leave it in idle an hour it shuts off. I wish you hadn’t put on that voice robot stuff on it either. I bought it for the speaker. I will admit though it’s the best speaker this size I’ve heard. Thank you

Wow, this sucker stays clear even when pushed hard. So many speakers compress when pushed loud but JBL tuned it just right. Lots of tight bass.

I am a major audiophile and own extremely high end brands, but we wanted something simple to put in the living room. What a great speaker! Loud and crisp. Fills my entire house. There are some minor bugs, but nothing a quick reset doesn't fix. Definitely recommend.

I am VERY critical of sound quality for my speakers. I currently use Bose 901's as my main speakers connected to a Dennon receiver I purchased from Best Buy. The sound quality of this speaker is excellent using Bluetooth connection when placed close to input source. Sound not so great when speaker moved to another room.
