It disconnects after an hour. It is good for starters but not if you really like a profound quality speaker. But for the price it is a winner. Also it constantly disconnects with Wifi. It is very easy to assemble. If you really want a very loud and sustained speaker, this may not be the one.

Jcl sound bar 500 - full of problems

We have had constant problems with it turning off. After constant problems and literally hours of research, we have adjusted our tcl TV settings and the sound bar worked fine for a couple of weeks but it's back to turning itself off after 10 minutes. It has to do with the TV settings but we have changed those to accommodate the sound bar. There can only be one HDMI plugged in, and that's the sound bar plug in. The sound quality is fine but the product is entirely to glitchy. Reading reviews, I see the sound bar returning off is a widespread complaint.

Posted .Thank you for your feedback. It's possible that your JBL Bar 500 is entering Standby mode to save power. However, if it shuts off while you're using it, please contact our Audio Specialists to diagnose your JBL Bar 500 at (800) 336-4525, options 3 and 2.

Sub did not auto connect and manual does not tell you how to, so I spent a good hour and a half to finally get it going.

The only downside to this sound bar is the remote, it looks and feels pretty cheap. But overall this sound bar is good for the price. Plug and play, it's that simple.

Not Happy with JBL

Example....When I turn on the TV, it will not connect to the TV so I have to unplug the soundbar and let it recycle. JBL should fix this issue. Frustrating paying this price and you have to unplug every time you turn on the TV. It is a pain so I suggest you look at another brand.
