I used it maybe 5 times in 18 months. All of a sudden it stopped working. The speaker does not turn on and does not charge. Since the speaker is out of warranty, all Harmon can offer is a 35% discount code on my next purchase. Their nearest authorized dealer for repairs is 50 miles away from me and the preferred repair facility, which requires that I ship the item to them charges $150.00 to repair the speaker. I was told that the problem could be the charging cable/port or battery issue. $500 seems pretty expensive for a speaker I only got to use a few times. You’d think that Harmon would at least take a look at the problem to see if it’s a manufacturer’s defect even if it’s out of warranty, but that’s not the case. You’d also think that they would make it easier for customers to be able to be able to replace the battery if needed, but apparently you’d have to take the whole speaker apart for that. Very disapointed .

Unfortunately, we can't replace your unit since it's already past its warranty period. While an internet search may show replacement batteries from 3rd party sellers, we recommend working with an authorized JBL service center so your battery can be safely replaced by a professional using genuine JBL parts.
