    This thing can really crank the music, even at higher volume it doesn't distort. I don't think I've been getting the 12 hours of battery time that's advertised but it's close enough. Definitely recommend this

    i still hope they're making the new speakers as good as this one. I've travelled all over the world - near and far with this little speaker. The quality and charge retention are still excellent.

    My reason for purchasing the JBL Charge 2 is because I gave my son my older JBL and needed to have music at my Birthday Cookout. I didn't rate it a 5 because it said the battery life was 12hrs, however it was fully charged and it died after 5.5 hrs. I used it with my iPod not my phone to avoid calls or notifications. As far as sound it wasn't any louder than the original JBL just more base. I liked the original JBL better. If you looking to connect your device for power than this will work.
