For christmas shopping I did a lot of reviews on YouTube, internet, and talking to best buy workers. For my type of music they all recommended the JBL Charge 2. I listen to mostly hip hop, r&b, top 40. Occasional country and latin. With its dual woofers, the bass is outstanding. It has a group method which is a neat feature to share with 3 friends. Its easy to pair to bluetooth with its one touch button feature. Plus, it's not called Charge for nothing. You can charge your device while using it to listen to music. Great for indoor, and occasional extreme outdoor. I say that because it is obviously a speaker with holes. But I did watch a youtube video where a guy put the speaker inside his water bottle holder on his bicycle while he went mountain biking. He said it fit perfectly and he could hear it well, and no dust entered where the woofers are. He listened to rock music. This bluetooth portable speaker has more features than the beats pill and some of the other bluetooth speakers on the market, and i consider it the best on the market. Definitely recommend this if looking for a portable bluetooth speaker. I ordered 2, in red and black for me and a family member.

The best thing about this speaker is the fact that I can bring it out to my back yard patio and listen to my tunes whether it be just relaxing, gardening, entertaining or having a bar-b-q. My blue toothed enabled Ipod nano makes it easy to pair. It was highly rated in several consumer magazines and I agree. I compared this speaker to several others that were in the store and this one sounded best.

I purchased this for my husband that lives in Alaska because he has no radio in his car. I thought we would just put it in his car and leave it here and I have been pleasantly surprised to see how many other uses we have had for it. We have it hooked up to our tv when we watch movies, we have taken it to the beach, hiking, picnicking and anywhere else we go. So happy to have made this purchase!

Excellent speaker great sound with bass most other speakers are high pitched and tiny.

This is one of my favorite recent purchases. Great sound, much fuller than with the version that's a step down. I'm definitely glad we spent the $50 extra for this one. We use it outside all the time, and it's perfect when we have guests and want to entertain in a room that isn't equipped with a sound system.

It's louder than my friends $250 speaker and it sounds better, too.

I use this unit on my desk as a speaker phone for my work cell phone. It works well. When using for music, it doesn't play as loud as I would like but still will provide adequate sound for a small gathering and still allow conversation...

Great speaker for streaming audio, and more making bluetooth calls. Portable - can put it in my laptop bag for travel. Love the bass!

I reviewed the JBL-Charge 2 against other like products and was impressed in its overall features the Bose & Beats do not have i.e. separate subs, call and receive function, Bluetooth distance and capability to charge other devices. I bought it for my wife and she loves it. Great sound.

This is a fantastic blue tooth speaker that produces great sound. Only one flaw- it has a large area on each side that you shouldn't touch according to the instructions. Unfortunately the consumer will likely pick it up by that area.

This little speaker is easy to use and has great sound!

Bought this as a birthday gift for my 14 year old cousin... He loves it and used it daily
