The JBL charge 2 has to be one of the best Bluetooth speakers ever made! It's the perfect size for just about any room and yet compact enough to take anywhere. This speaker definitely has deep low bass and yet good High's making everything sound much better... I can connect quickly and easily to bluetooth with chrome book, tablet, & phone. I use the speaker in my truck and it sounds like a much bigger speaker system. This is the only speaker I will ever need.

The sound quality could be better, it' not too clear for dialog from TV. I don't like the "step" increments for the volume control.

The only thing I didn't like was that the front grill gets crushed in since it's not rubber. Mine got all bend up.

I read the reviews and ordered this. When I got it I was very disappointed in the poor sound of it. Sent it back

I spent a weekend with the Bose Soundlink and this piqued my interest in the mobile bluetooth speaker category. I was planning on building my own DIY portable system, as I have completed my own speakers in the past. I wanted to hear some others so I strolled in to my local BBY (not a great experience, btw) to take a gander. I was blown away at the bass extension this model produced for the size, much better than the Bose. I wanted to use this primarily in my unfinished basement while working on various projects, it fills the space without trouble with a surprising range. I'd venture a guess and say it's good up to 100 feet. Anyway, for the same price... this sounds better than the Bose and has better battery life. No brainer decision for someone considering either one.

I don't take my speaker outdoors. I don't need it to be waterproof. I don't need to rock the neighborhood from my back patio. I don't throw loud parties. (Well except for this past Christmas, but we needn't get into that... ) There are other speakers more appropriate for that stuff than the JBL Charge 2. I do like to listen to music in my living room or den. I read. I like using my tablet. I don't watch TV. I like to play a variety of music (blues, folk, jazz, etc). Music at moderate volume while surfing the internet on my tablet. Music at lower volume when reading. I want it to sound clear at those volumes, with detectable (but not overwhelming) bass and percussion, I read many reviews and comparisons. I listened to a lot of Bluetooth speakers at Best Buy. My local store had many on display and demo ready. It came down to the JBL Charge 2 versus the Sony SRS X3. Battery life swung me to the Charge 2 (12 hours vs 7 hours). I brought home a black JBL Charge 2 and I am really enjoying it. I think it is the right speaker for me. Oh yes. My cat is an audiophile. Really. She loves listening to music with me in the evening. She also gives her paw of approval to the JBL Charge 2.

Looking for a backup for Zumba classes to our harman/kardon and it couldn't come close.

I picked this up for my wife for Christmas. We have been using it daily for about a month and we are loving the sound quality of it. The sound is very well rounded. We like the feature that allows multiple devices to connect to it and control what's being played. Say for example I have a song on my phone that she doesn't I can load it up and hit play and it starts to play. If she wants to switch to her playlist she just needs to hit play and it starts running from her device. Now this can lead to some fighting over who gets to hear what song but its great for parties so the playlist doesn't get stale. Battery life lasts about a week the way we use it which is daily while we workout and make dinner. We also love the fact that if we are away from a power source we can also charge our phones, this is a great feature when we go up to the lake this coming summer!

Little size with enough smart power. Decent loud sound songs highs and lows variations response music with a little distortion notable while recharging my smart phone. Improved design quality best construction. Jbl deserves a gold medal. Carry out in the office, patio gardens. Enough long battery operation.

I purchased this unit so my wife could play rehearsal tracks for practicing the piano part for choir. It works swell for that. I take it to choir rehearsals to play new songs from my Nokia Windows phone. We have a 30 piece choir and the sound quality and volume is plenty to fill our rehearsal room. Beats hauling a boom box along or cutting CD's or plugging in wires. Just turn on the Charge 2, enable BT on the phone and play a track or two. Recently my wife and I have been painting and it is a pleasure to blue tooth to the Charge 2 from either my phone to play local FM stations or her iPad mini to play Pandora or other streaming content. The sound fills the whole house and the battery lasted 8+ hours for 2 days of painting. And the Charge 2 does have a more balanced sound than other B-named devices. Well worth the $$$ for portability, sound quality, and ease of use.

I purchased this unit after reading all of the great reviews... Only to find out that after just 3 days of ownership I've had (2) major problems. When playing music via my phone the unit would distort and begin a loud rumbling as though the speakers were blown. I could only play music at 45% volume otherwise it distorts and begins to tremble loudly. Next, I charged the unit for 12 hrs. for the first initial charge, after that the unit would die after 5 minutes of play when unplugged. I like the looks and the overall concept of the unit, It seems to be very well made and very durable. I guess I just received a lemon... Back to Best Buy I go for an even exchange for another unit. I went to Best Buy to compare Bluetooth speakers because I had read a review that the JBL sounded better than Bose and Beats. I listened to every speaker on display. I found the Bose was too bassy with not enough highs. The Beats sounded canny. The JBL was a real nice combination of highs and good bass. The compact size and ease of use made it even more attractive. Bluetooth connection was a breeze. Add to that 12 hr battery life and USB connection to charge your device and you have a complete package. I expected good sound but my expectations were exceeded. I love this little speaker!

Awesome product... Great Sound, Great Bass and it even charges your phone on the Go! You can not go wrong with this device... You'll be very impressed!

I brought this product as a gift for my wife. She loves it as she can listen to "big" sound where ever she goes. The sound reproduction is good. I love the ability to answer phones using the in-built speakerphone functionality. There is just one feature I miss which was in my old Rocksteady XS V1.5 Portable Bluetooth by Killer Concepts: the ability to skip songs in my playlist from the speaker itself. This speaker misses that feature; you have to do it from your phone. That is the reason I gave it a 4 star rating. But it is something which maybe overlooked. Overall, I would recommend this product to anyone who is looking for a nice portable speaker with big sound! Happy shopping.

I bought this speaker for my daughter! She originally wanted the pink, but since its sold out online so i got her the white model instead. But as soon as she used it, it didn't' even matter what the color was anymore because the sound was perfect. This small speaker that can totally fill up the entire room! Battery life is excellent also! Thinking of getting another one for myself now! :)

bought another speaker first didn't work at all returned it and bought this one. Should have done this first. the sound quality is fantastic. I have an mp3 player and it sounds like the bands are in my living room. My husband tested it out with his phone and Bluetooth works as well as advertised. great product great brand we are going to get one for him now. don't know why everyone wouldn't

For a small speaker it really packs a punch. I'm not an audiophile and I do not have any other speakers, so I cannot compare it to other brands. I do think that it was a great buy when it was on a one-day sale for $80. I like the ability to connect to other JBL speakers as well.

I was looking for portable speaker and made a lot of comparison between all speakers in the market Bose,JbL, Jawbone and etc... I narrowed my choice to JBL Charge 2 for these reasons: True and clear sound,Very high quality, Receive calls while listen to music,buttons very handy. I so happy with it i like to listen to my favorites music almost every day and JBL Charge 2 made my life more happier with this small rugged sound system i would recommend it to anyone..

I'm impressed with JBL I had purchased previous JBL Charge, and was really happy with sound quality coming out of this little sound bar. Never had issue's with it. So I decided to purchase Charge 2. After much research, I decided to go with the JBL Charge 2 and I am not disappointed! Amazing sound at both the low and high ends and great price to boot! Well worth the investment.
