Once I read the reviews for each and saw the JBL had significantly more reviews and almost 5 stars all around. It was a no brainer. This is a great speaker, with really good sound! I would even consider buying a bigger one for outside gatherings. I'm still too nervous to test out the waterproof feature, but it has spent time by the lake without a problem.
