Beautiful design, it being waterproof gives you that extra peace of mind. This speaker is really loud too, half way is "loud" and I haven't found a reason so go above that. Compared to the flip I'd say the biggest benefit to the charge is volume, battery life, and being able to charge your phone.

The speaker is cool in that it's waterproof, but it doesn't hold charge very well, even if you only listen to music for up to 2 hour shift, it's dead.

I love my JBL 3. Great portable speaker. Could use a little more bass, but other than that, it had a good sound and a great range.

overall this was a great buy. The device was easily set up after opening and produces enough sound to fill the room. Connects well via wifi.

The sound is great but every once and a while it’s a bit hard to get to connect with my phone or pair with the other speaker.

I use 2 of these in my backyard on my deck. I put them up after use, why test the water proofing? They sound pretty decent for what they are, don't try to throw a dance with them. At times will lose signal temporarily, usually when adjusting the volume. That's kind of weird.

Nice little speaker..good for your room..not super loud but a good quality sound..want something louder..spend more money

We love to sit in the yard and listen to music. The JBL speaker is perfect and can carried to any aria of the house. Go get you one.

It met my expectations! No Complaints. I might add another speaker, to give it a stereo feel outdoors, since they can be synced up.

I need a Bluetooth speaker to amplify music taken from iPhone. The Bluetooth speaker is a good one that I would like to recommend for everyone.

This was my 2nd JBL Bluetooth speaker. I bought the smaller version last year for my son's BD and he loved it until the plug area to charge it broke. I purchased this model for him this year but he did not like it. Although the sound is great, the speaker is a little too big, plus the area where the speaker sits on this JBL is easily more vulnerable to damage should it accidently fall. I ended returning it and just gave my son a gift card.

I compared the JBL to Bose for both sound and durability. The JBL in my opinion was by far a more "rugged" unit than Bose. As for sound, the JBL blew me away when the store associate offered to demo it for me. Save yourself some $$$ and skip the pricey Bose units and go for the JBL.

I have had many portable speakers and this one, with its size has some of the best and loud sound quality I have used.

It might not actually be the loudest in its category but it is without a doubt the most clearest and all around best performing one out there!

Fantastic speakers. Only problem is after 1.5 years the speaker blew. Has to get them replaced. Otherwise its an awesome product.

The speaker is wonderful! I can't say enough good things about it. However, I will be desperate before I shop at Best Buy again. The speaker finally went on sale, but they wouldn't refund the difference because they only have a 15 day return policy. All reputable stores give 30 days!!

The speaker is awesome and sounds amazing but the charger has already broke. I have read a few other reviews that the same thing happened.

Compared to the other portable bluetooth speakers in its class and even some that are not the JBL Charge 3 is definitely an on par speaker!

The jbl charge 3 is a good speaker, unfortunately the lack of battery life at full volume makes it fall short of being a great speaker. I use it st work, I operate a forklift in a warehouse on a 10 hour shift. The battery tends to die at around the 8 hour point, I've tried 2 different jbl charge 3's as well. For a battery that can get 20 hours, 8 is way short of that. My only other complaint is I wish it could go a little louder.
