Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am comparing this new model to my previous Charge 2+ and JBL definitely has a loyal customer. This line of speaker changed my opinion on bluetooth streaming. The version that is updated for modern phones runs in low power modes and doesnt use many resources. It also has a great soundscape, rich bass, and is still very portable. This Charge 3 sounds way better than Bose, Beats, UE or any other more expensive brands. The waterproofing is a nice touch and the numerous connectivity, physical buttons make this the best full featured device. I would rather have this one-way playback over an Alexa / Google Home product around listening.

Started hearing the plastic casing vibrating when playing music. The vibrating sound was getting really annoying quickly. I ended up exchanging it for the megaboom. So far I have enjoyed the megaboom much more than the charge three.

Posted .I’m sorry to hear that you are having issues with the CHARGE 3. The CHARGE 3 can definitely play music at 100% volume. However, it will only produce sound that is dependent from the source it’s connected to. For example, if the CHARGE 3 is set to 75% volume but the source’s sound output has reached its peak, cranking up the volume will most likely cause distortion as the speaker will try to pump out sound even though the source has reached its limitations. So it is recommended that once you hear distortion, lower down the volume. If you are using an EQ to boost bass, please set it to flat.

Flawless connectivity, great sound and a battery that lasts! I have no negative comments on this product it performs exactly like I would expect a JBL product to perform!
