After a few seconds of hearing this speaker in the store, I stopped looking at others. When I got it home the sound was surprisingly deeper than in the store. I did get some annoying hum while testing out the 1/4" mini jack in the back at first. But now no problem; it was most likely a problem with a bad cable I was using. I like that it will accept the Bluetooth signal from my iPhone or audio cable from computer automatically. Great purchase.

Easy to pair. Great bass in a small package. Can pair with another for even better sound.

I needed to replace my little Bluetooth speaker I had in my kitchen that I played while cooking and also for my husband and I to take on our Caribbean trip. Oh man I didn't expect the clarity that I got outta this itty bitty speaker. I love to dance and the sound is engulfing it fills a room and it's design I love!

I got this speaker on a black Friday special for $89 and very pleased with the sound and quality of the product.

After being a loyal. to Bose I decided to do some research on JBL this speaker and to my surprise it shocked me and i am very please with the sound and better quality I am extremely happy with it you wont regret it the best I have heard...

My husband and I have gone through several Bluetooth speakers, trying to find one with the perfect sound for both music and talk radio listening. This speaker has fulfilled the need! There's no static, the range is great, and it charges quickly. Very happy!

This speaker was tremendous. Even my 19- and 21-year old kids couldn't believe the sound quality that it possessed for such a smallish speaker. It seemed particularly good at presenting an audio experience across a broad spectrum - instead of being bass- and treble-heavy, the speaker gave good balance for the whole range. I kept hearing things I'd never heard in music I had listened to for years. I used it in the bathroom every morning while I was showering to help me WAKE UP! and get ready for my day. It was the best purchase I'd made in a long time. But then it broke. After something over a half-year of use, the speaker developed a buzz that kept getting worse until, after a few weeks of the buzzing, the speaker was no longer usable. I should have asked for warranty coverage from JBL but thought it might be fun to open it up with the kids, find the damaged part, and replace it. Of course, I haven't done that yet. But every day I wish I had - the larger speaker I replaced it with just does not sound as good.

After trying the beat pill+ and even the JBL xtreme, I decided to buy me a third JBL charge. I owned the original JBL charge, the charge 2 and I though it would be a good idea to change brands. WRONG! After buying the beat pill+, I return it to the store right away because it has "no bass at all". I tried the JBL xtreme. Great speaker I must say, but it's bulky and not that portable. JBL charge 3 carries some good kicks and has great volume and battery life. Second day I used it, I grab it with motor oil and I washed the speaker with hot water! Yes I actually washed the speaker and the oil came right off. Try that with any other brand! Great speaker, great value, definitely a great purchase.

Speaker sounds great with nice bass. Solidly made, quick bluetooth pairing (although the loud chime is a little annoying). Not quite as loud as was hoping to fill a large room, but a quality product.

I own 2 they are great loud speakers. I haven't had any problems with either one, but their app can be a little bit more useful. Being able to power it on and off through the app, etc.

This is a great sounding speaker. I didn't give it 5 stars because it doesn't properly pair up with a second speaker as the specs said it would. I paired two of these together, and they sounded great at first, but then one of them started to get a lot of static and would cut out all together. I took the one speaker back and exchanged it for a new one. It did the same thing. If you're buying this as a stand alone speaker, you should be extremely happy with the sound. Just dont expect to be able to pair two of them together. I was hoping to put one of these in my kitchen, and the second one in my living areas while entertaining.

This speaker is nice. I really like the way it looks. However, I generally use my speakers in hotel and/or bedrooms (low to medium volume). I want full rich sound with good bass, the JBL Charge 3 just didn't deliver. Don't get me wrong if you turn up the volume on this bad boy it will give you some decent bass and it sounds very good. However, I ended up returning it even though I really hoped to keep it. I opted to get the Bose Soundlink Mini (on sale/open box saved $45 which put it almost the same price as the JBL Charge 3) and I must say this speaker gave me exactly what I was looking for especially at the lower volume. I dinged the JBL two stars because I was hoping that JBL had at last fixed the issue of weak bass at lower volume. I think JBL will sell plenty of these though because they are nice and being waterproof is a great option.

Everyone that hears it ,ask about it. All that sound coming from that little speaker? They can’t believe it. I just smile.

We enjoy taking the JBL out to the patio on nice evenings and listening to music. Good for camping too! It is so very handy!

I picked this speaker up and was really surprised with the sound quality. The bad is unbelievable for such a small speaker.

I work 10 hr shift this speaker is great for two full shifts.these speakers keep me entertained and helps the time go bye a lot faster.

My JBL Charge 3 (green camo) just sounded like shots were being fired. Immediately my whole condo filled up with smelly electrical fire smoke that came out of the pores of the cover. It increased and I was able to get a long pair of kitchen tings to grab it and toss it out of the patio door onto the wet grass in the rain.

Well I could not wait to write my review because it is a disappointment just got one for Christmas. My son asked me what I wanted and a couple of years ago I surprised him with the JBL 2 and it sound so great I went and looked at reveiws and even listened to one at Best Buy and I thought this was better JBL 4 than the 2, I don't know if the sound was muff folded at Best Buy of just the songs they had for you to listen to and just noisy at the store but this is louder than the jbl 2 and it lost its bass it is a clearer sound but I am considering returning but I hate to because my son gave it to me
