I've heard the Beats, UA and other bluetooth speakers, but all do not compare to the JBL Charge. Its waterproof (have not tested), can be used as a portable battery.

Very good speaker. Sound is very high quality. Lasts a long time on a single charge. Very durable. I use it at work and it can take a beating.

It gets extremely loud even better then the Bose Soundlink which was surprising. It was also cheaper so I would go with this one if you are stuck between the two.

I used to have a Beats Pill XL before the recall and since then I had been looking for a portable bluetooth speaker that gave off great sound and good base. This JBL charge 3 is just what the doctor ordered and you can keep your phone or other USB device charged while you're using it. The sound quality is great even on the max volume setting and its sound can easily fill up a room or just be that little bit of ambiance you need to set the mood.

I use this speaker almost everyday at work. I love this thing. Battery even at high volumes lasts a couple of days. Sound is clear, and bass response is great.

I have yet to take full advantage of all the features but just plugging and playing, I was very impressed. The bass is solid and I thought all the music sounded great. It has done well in the sun and I can walk all around the yard and the connection stays solid between my phone and the unit. My daughter was able to easily connect her phone then as well another day. At some point I may get a second to have the true stereo but to be honest, being outside, doesn't matter all that much to me and this one unit puts out a ton of sound, great by the pool.

Bought this without expecting much. I previously owned the Beats By Dre Beatbox which was a LARGE wired speaker. I initially purchased this for a 4th of July house warming party. I have a pretty big back yard so wasn’t expecting much in terms of sound a quality outside, but was pleasantly surprised! The IPX7 waterproofing is also a major plus. I find myself using this Bluetooth speaker everywhere now. In the bathroom while I shower, in the garage doing random projects, and any time we are in the backyard playing yard games. Great little speaker!

I read a lot of reviews before buying this little speaker. I was initially going to get the flip3, but after comparing the two in the store, it was the charge that won me over. Took it to work and it put out amazing sound in a 4000 sq ft warehouse. I would say it'd be a great speaker for a backyard party or something to just listen to your music at home. It holds a charge when not powered up, so you aren't left with a dead speaker after a few days. I wasn't biased with the JBL brand, I went and tried out all the speakers and for the price, you can best bet, this is the top pick.

Returned the beats pill plus and got this, couldn't be happier. Twice the battery life, much higher sound quality, and waterproof to top it off, all for $50 less!

Carries a charge for a long time and easily connected to both my pc and phone. It's portability and excellent sound quality make this a great choice.

My wife wanted a speaker and charger for her Kindle Fire to replace an older unit that didn't work with her new Kindle. The salesman at Best Buy couldn't recommend anything at first and, as we were on our way out of the store, ran after us to say this might work. After looking it over it proved perfect for our use. It was the day before our anniversary and it proved perfect for my wife. Not only can she play her music remotely, but she can also charge her kindle, cell phone and other devices using this speaker. We are sold! Thanks JBL for another wonderful product.

these JBL's are great, and you can link 2 together, not really a house part speaker, they put out great sound, the bass is good and they are water resistant

The sound is clear and good. The volume is great if you want to listen to your music loud or low. No issues so far with being waterproof.

This is my 4th speaker from jbl. This speaker has great sound, bass and is small enough for easy travel. Very happy with this purchase

Great sound, waterproof, decent battery life, and the ability to link together with another Charge3 works well with range of approximately 50'.
