Paws down, just the ability to pair with other JBL speakers is a huge plus, but not only that...this speaker has great sound while maintaining a long battery life. It uses a micro USB to charge with a sleek orange cable that can be reversed and plugged into the full sized USB port to keep your phone juiced while laying out the jaaaaams. Get two of these mamajams and switch on JBL's Stereo mode for truely a mesmerizing immersion.

Bought this speaker on Black Friday for a good price for my sister. She uses it daily and loves the fact that she can charge her phone while playing music. The sound and bass sound good and it holds its charge well.

+Overall Sound for its size + I can charge my phone +water resistant - Compared to the UE Boom 2, it feels heavier, bulkie, and less carry around friendly. If was slightly smaller, I would give it 5 stars.

We now have 2 of these this size, as well a smaller one that I bought for my son as a Christmas present. I like that you can plug your phone into the speaker so it charges while listening to music. Another plus is the ability to pair the speakers to each other. The only con is that sometimes the connection goes in and out. I haven't figured out if this is an internet issue or something to do with the speaker.

Just as described, very practical specaker, charge last very long, good bass, easy to carry.

Love it. Have the bigger version. Got this one for my wife. Replaced an earlier version. Good buy.

One of the best bluetooth speakers I have had. I went river rafting in Tahoe with some friends and we flipped over. While this was in the boat, right when we flipped over from hitting a rocking and catching a whirlpool, this thing just floated on by. After grabbing it, we didn't check it until we hit our endpoint. Still works to this day. Bought another one when it was on sale

I'm an EX professional musician, that being said, I have run into a lot of JBL speakers. This speaker does not disappoint. Easy Bluetooth connection. Water resistance make taking it into the shower worry free. Loud enough for home use. As with many Bluetooth transmission the EQ was pushed in on the midrange, but it still sounded good enough to buy one for my son and one for my daughter.JBL makes great products.

I was impressed with JBL when I bought my JBL2. Therefore when I was looking for a waterproof upgrade I decided to buy the JBL3. Great for on the go sound. Definitely good to have around the hot tub or up at the lake cottage. Being waterproof allows no fear of dropping in the water. The only letdown is I was expecting the JBL3 to be louder.
