Good to great sound depending on what genre of music you prefer.. decent bass, very good treble. Awesome battery life

Another addition to play music for my Mom which has Alzheimer's, but playing her music from the Big Band era just makes her very Happy and remembers my Dad who was a great Musician, he played the Trumpet. Thanks Jbl for such a great portable speaker.

My first Bluetooth speaker. Great bass response and very defined sound like sound system speakers. It also has direct mini jack input to hard wire from a source. And that's discontinued with CHARGE 5

This portable speaker works really well. I love the fact that it's easy to move wherever you need the music. It's got great sound and good base. Very happy with this and getting it as the "Deal of the Day" made it even better!!

This is my third speaker that I purchased from the charge series offered by JBL. It is great to have all of your speakers in sync with each other and no delay it’s such an awesome sound. If I would’ve had more money I would’ve bought more.

Great for use anywhere! We bought the JBL charge 4 to be used mainly at the beach because it provides such a great sound but also the convenience charging your cell phones. But we have been using it on our patio and even in the shower. We love it.

Got as a gift for our college student to replace a Beats Pill that quit working. This is far superior in sound quality, to everything else we tried in the store and definitely as compared to that little Beats Pill.

Its sound really good but it has the software problem. When you your device connected to it, and someone who was connected in the past come close jbl decides to connect to his phone also and the sound goes from to device simultaneously. For a reasonable price, this is a very good small, portable speaker. It pairs with any Bluetooth phone, tablet, etc. We now have one for each member of the family in several colors (so we can identify who it belongs to)!

Verdict. For the money, the JBL Charge 4 is a definite no-brainer. For arond $150 (£160, AU$200), you get a speaker that lasts all day, sounds great, can put up with all kinds of abuse, and tops your phone up in a pinch

Bought this for my college aged daughter after the charging port broke on her old one. Sounds amazing for its size. It replaced a three year old Pulse that she used a lot. She misses the light show from the Pulse, but this sounds much better.

Looking for a good quality speaker? Look no further this is exactly what you have been looking for. I take this speaker everywhere with me. We have two in my house now and the surround sound is amazing.

Great sound quality. Battery life seems to be good as well. Easy to pair with any Bluetooth equipment.

This thing is pretty nice! It doesn't get as loud as I would like it to, but nothing does. Used it like 20 times at the most before it started glitching out and eventually won't turn on. I can see why these were on sale in this color... probably the only ones that did it haha who knows... Currently talking to JBL warranty department, as I was not about to spend more money on an extended one from BB.
