I have owned this for at least a month now. Use it pretty much all weekend around the pool and back yard. Sound quality is excellent but I’ve been most impressed with battery life. Never had it run out on me and I’ve ran it for 8hrs at a time or so.

The sound lives up to my expectations and the size is just right for on the go.

I had an old JBL Extreme3 or Extreme4 that I gave to my sister. Then I saw a reviewer who said two JBL Charge (5?) speakers in stereo mode put out similar quality sound to one Extreme speaker. If you wait for the right deal, you can get two of these for less than one JBL Exteme speaker. I am only using these in relatively small rooms. Maybe if I were using these speakers in bigger spaces, I would prefer the single Extreme to two Charges, but I'm super happy with them. The carrying strap (new to the Charge 6) negates one of the other advantages the Extreme had over Charge speakers. Audiophiles might find the sound dark and bass-heavy.

Sound quality is amazing!!! Love that there's straps so that I can carry it around everywhere. It was very huge, but still great to bring to the beach, picnic, or wherever.
