I know you can’t go wrong with JBl products but this particular speaker surprised me with the sound quality and it long lasting play time. Easy to set up and it plays really loud outdoors too. If you enjoy bass and quality sound, you cant go wrong with is purchase especially at the price point.

I had an old JBL Extreme3 or Extreme4 that I gave to my sister. Then I saw a reviewer who said two JBL Charge (5?) speakers in stereo mode put out similar quality sound to one Extreme speaker. If you wait for the right deal, you can get two of these for less than one JBL Exteme speaker. I am only using these in relatively small rooms. Maybe if I were using these speakers in bigger spaces, I would prefer the single Extreme to two Charges, but I'm super happy with them. The carrying strap (new to the Charge 6) negates one of the other advantages the Extreme had over Charge speakers. Audiophiles might find the sound dark and bass-heavy.
