This is a very good speaker. I actually own the JBL Charge 5, and purchased this when my 5 took some water damage (probably due to the USB port cover not being totally closed) and stopped working. I purchased this as a replacement and the new features like the carrying strap and the larger base are nice, but honestly I don't see it as enough of an upgrade to be worth it other than the fact that there is no more USB port cover to worry about - as far as sound quality I can't tell much difference between this and the 5. The other thing that I found very annoying is that they have a new version of the connectivity used to put these speakers in party mode and I can't pair it with my Charge 5 (which started working again after a few days of drying). Overall I would save the 50 bucks or so extra that this speaker costs and just go with the 5, especially if you won't be using it in water.

I upgraded to JBL charge 6, and ut is easily one of the best portable speakers i have owned!

I never realized how useful speakers were, but this one was amazing, i use it at home, shower, and the basketball court with my friends. Super long battery life.

I recently purchased the JBL charge six for my larger fitness classes, and I’m super happy with it! It has a very full sound and holds the base well at high volumes. I highly recommend this speaker!

I recently bought this to replace my older but still great Charge 2 and it is quite a giant leap ahead in sound quality with much deeper fuller bass and crisp clean highs that will crank out loud enough to fill an entire large room with clear distortion free sound.

It sounds much better than I was expecting. Bass is surprisingly good for how small it is and the highs and mids are pretty decent as well. It gets more than loud enough to bring outside without worrying about being drown out and keeps its clarity at the highest volume. I am very happy with this and would definitely reccomend.

JBL is always my go to for any speakers, Bluetooth, car, home, etc. the charge 6 does not disappoint, excellent sound quality with the dedicated woofer and tweeter. Well rounded sounds in a portable package.
