Overall, the sound of this speaker is very fun and punchy! Some people consider the base to be a bit much, but this speaker was not made for audiophiles. This speaker has withstood much hardship within the month that ive had it. Being dropped into pools, taken fishing in the hot sun, dropped repeatedly, and continues to survive!

I’ve had a few of the Flip series of JBL but wanted to go a little bigger, and this thing does not disappoint by any means. It’s just a little bigger than the Flips but packs a whole lot of power and sound. When I play my music, I immediately go to this thing to bring the music to life and fill the whole room and then some. I love my JBL products!

This is a very good speaker. I actually own the JBL Charge 5, and purchased this when my 5 took some water damage (probably due to the USB port cover not being totally closed) and stopped working. I purchased this as a replacement and the new features like the carrying strap and the larger base are nice, but honestly I don't see it as enough of an upgrade to be worth it other than the fact that there is no more USB port cover to worry about - as far as sound quality I can't tell much difference between this and the 5. The other thing that I found very annoying is that they have a new version of the connectivity used to put these speakers in party mode and I can't pair it with my Charge 5 (which started working again after a few days of drying). Overall I would save the 50 bucks or so extra that this speaker costs and just go with the 5, especially if you won't be using it in water.

The sound is exceptional. It is worth the price. You could really hear the bass. I really enjoy it listening to it.

It came 90% charged and I still haven’t charged it yet, sound quality is great.

Its a good choice for a speaker its right in the middle of most options in price range. It provided good quatilty sound with a good bass to it. Its also a good size that can still be considered portable.
