It is durable, definitely steam and waterproof. Great price for what you are receiving. Definitely lives up the bbq!

JBL is the best
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.We got 2 charge5’s when they were on sale. I had the 1st gen jbl flip for years and loved it. No other bt speaker we’ve had came close to the quality of sound it had. The charge5 is much louder, and bigger. I kinda wish I’d bought 1 flip and 1 charge 5, because I miss the easier transportability of the flip’s size. Jbl has an app you can download to access the speaker and tune the equalizer to your preference. The sound is impressive. It does not come with a sleeve like the flips used to. Also, not sure you get twenty hours of battery. We’ve only tested it once, and it spent some time in the car in exceptionally hot weather, not sure if that affected it, but we got about 10-12 hours without charging. The sound quality is still far beyond anything else that we’ve owned owned. I can’t speak to the durability yet, because we just haven’t had them long enough, but they seem pretty solid. Very happy with the purchase thus far.
