Bought based on a JBL system in my vehicle.

We chose the JBL charge 5 based on the fact that my 2021 Toyota has a JBL sound system and I'm quite pleased. This speaker will be used mainly outdoors this summer by the pool. That should be a true test for the waterproof feature.

Great for my workouts, beach days, job sites, and cookouts. For such a small portable speaker it sure is loud. Love it

The range is quite far and the sound is excellent and full indoors or out.

My second one and the two link up together nicely. Pretty good sound for the size. Good distance for the Bluetooth and party boost set up. Little plastic light cover for one LED fell off with a very minor 8” fall. Sad! But the real downside is when will folks STOP needing their own charge cable plugs!! That stinks and it is so frustrating. Now that I have my second device I have a spare BUT done with this brand in future if they stick to weird style plugs into the device. Wasteful!
