By that point, it had been through the wringer and gave me the excuse to buy a new one, and seeing the new design of the Charge5 made me want it more. In comparison, between the 3 and the 5, it was the perfect upgrade. Plus, when I start buying from one brand, I tend to stay loyal to that brand/line of products, but that's not to say that JBL isn't a good brand. They're exceptional at the products they release.
