This thing is awesome. Sounds great as long as it's sitting on a solid surface. I noticed the bass is tremendously improved by placing this on an acoustic surface, like a solid wood table, or a fiberglass shower shelf. Being able to charge other devices with it while listening to music is awesome. It's a bit too expensive I believe, but you're paying for the JBL name, and I'll always lean towards JBL products because they sound great and live forever.

AWESOME sound, great bass. I bought it mainly to use on fishing trips and kayaking and I wanted the battery bank feature so we wouldn't have to bring a separate battery bank anymore, it's absolutely great for that. JBLs are super durable, my old one lasted 10 years and still works, I just upgraded for the battery feature.

I purchased to use on a jet ski steering wheel mount and it’s prob the biggest you’d want to run on it. Battery life has been good so far and sound quality has been great.Can hear pretty good while driving on the water up to 35 mph. Haven’t played it at full volume or at higher speeds. Figured the option to charge other stuff while on the water may come in handy if needed. So far I’d recommend.

Absolutely love this bluetooth speaker. Buying open box items is always a little sketchy for me but this JBL speaker paired to my iphone in seconds and sounds really great. The bass is amazing for such a small package. Battery life 18-20ish hours is plenty for most occasions. Around the house I find myself listening to music on the JBL more often than on my full hi-fi system, its just easier.

The speaker is absolutely amazing. The boom boom boom is right here folks. Plus the meds the hives and the lows make a quality crystal clear sound with deep bass. If you love music great sounding music highly recommend this purchase. Also, the fact that it's Bluetooth and portable and waterproof phenomenal. I use it for online schooling gaming playing music with my iPhone Chris will clear sound every song pretty impressive little speaker. For the price wish it had a remote. Listening to heavy metal or a rap super quality.

I bought this for work and it is great. Good and loud and holds a charge pretty well! Has such great bass to it and sounds great! Considering buying a second one when I can. JBL makes great speakers!

Great little portable Bluetooth speaker. I bring this out on my boat and paddle board and the sound is unmatched for anything else this size. This thing can also be used as a power bank to charge other devices. The battery life is insanely good too! Love it and recommend it to anyone looking for a small lightweight, but powerful Bluetooth speaker.

After a long search for a quality speaker, this is the best overall portable speaker. Although the style is a little less appealing but the sound is great for a 30W speaker. I can listen to any genre as the sound stage has punchy bass, decent mids, and clear highs that will not create a muddy tone (compared to the sound stage of the Marshall Bluetooth speakers). Compared to the charge 4, you get a separate tweeter, Bluetooth v5.1 (compared to v4.0), and now a part of JBL Partyboost to connect with other speakers. The IPX rating has decreased since the charge 4 from IPX7 to IPX67. To note, there is no charger in the box, just the cable and some booklets are included. In the end, this a great speaker for all occasions.

Very waterproof. I frequently use this speaker in my shower where it is very humid and have had zero problems over the years. Also, best sound quality money can buy for this size speaker. I also recommend the Boombox 3.

After doing a lot of research, I landed on the Charge 5. The main feature is the battery life, let along it can charge my iPhone simultaneously while playing. The charging of the phone is very slow. The waterproof and dustproof features are really convenient as I already took this to the lake and beach and wasn't worried about it. The sound is average for the a Bluetooth speaker and probably had a little more bass than the Bose Soundlink which I also own. For the price, this speaker is a great value and will last all day.

I love it. It’s really loud and the bass is outstanding. Charges fast and holds a long charge. Also it’s waterproof which is a plus.

Great sound quality and very easy to use. Not too big for transporting and waterproof too.

I rate this item excellent because: 1) it is lite and 2) portable and 3) the sound quality is great for such small speakers, 4) I can carry it around the house and outdoors, too. The range covers all my needs, 6) charging time is minimal and playing time exceeds my daily use. I purchased a soft carrier (elsewhere), too, which makes it even easier to tote.

Going on three years owning this speaker has been in the rain. Haven’t had any issues with it for charging for connectivity nothing like that. Great great product. Worth the money.
