Got this as a gift for my husband. He absolutely loves it! Indoor or outdoor, the sound quality is amazing. Lightweight and easily portable. The charge capacity is ridiculous! He's only had to charge it twice since getting it. That thing can go for days. The sound quality isn't effected by a low charge either. No static ect. It's very sturdy too. Very well made. I would definitely recommend this speaker.

Excellent quality all the way around. This is my fifth JBL speaker and I’ve never been disappointed. After comparing this with my Charge 4, it definitely has better instrument separation and it gets a bit louder, not really worth it if you already have a Charge 4 in my opinion. Compared to the Flip 5, the Charge 5 has better separation, but overall sounds very similar; the Charge 5 is mainly louder, which is expected given the size difference. I can guarantee that you’ll be impressed with whichever JBL speaker you choose.

Holy mackerel, this little thing packs a punch! For its size the sound quality is very good! Nice punchy bass, and very good highs. Battery life is excellent and is perfect for my needs. I like the fact that you can “sync it with other comparable JBL Bluetooth speakers to share the same music for a surround sound experience!

have been enjoying this speaker for my google tv. it is reliable one. the main feature i loved is auto connect. whenever i turn on my google tv, this auto connects to tv and i can simply play anytime - it just works. loved it. second, the loop allows to pair with my partner's jbl chargr as well. the sound quality, the bass is amazing. generally i needed to have 10-12 volume level out of 20 for my google tv but for this speaker even 7 is too loud and need to keep it 6. on top of it - battery is super. & portable is amazing. i take this speaker with me across my house wherever i am doing a thing and don't miss a connection with tv. when i am in garage, i play some playlist in tv, take this with me or in attic or kitchen..just work fine. it has been tested thoroughly and works great. it can be used as fixed across my tv or portable around the house. simply amazing. i loved it.

Great portability and great sound. This speaker doesn't disappoint and it can play very loud...great for inside and outside sound. The downloadable app is just bare-bones but you can adjust the EQ and manage multiple speakers. I also bought a travel case.

Overall very good sound, sharp highs, clear mids and a nice punch. Battery lasts long enough to make it thru a 13 hour shift. After a quick update I was able to use an equalizer to ajust the sound how I like. I ended up buying two and pairing them and noticed 2 things, the "master" speaker thats connected to your phone will discharge at a faster rate than the one connected to it. And you cant use the equalizer. (Not a deal breaker the built in Samsung one is better anyway) if you've had your eye on an Xtreme for a while id recommend 2 of these instead. pairing them in L/R mode and having a mini protable stereo is awesome and its about the same loudness if not louder

Absolutely amazing speaker. Volume is great, gets plenty loud without any drops in audio quality. Bass is solid and doesn’t drown out tweeters. The JBL app has EQ settings you can tune to your liking

The JBL sound is amazing so glad I made this choice for my new sound system. The sound is as loud as you need it to be with great quality. This system is also waterproof so you can use it at the pool side or the beach.

This is the best speaker I have ever had. It’s very portable but still packs a punch. It has very clear sound and great bass. It also hold a charge for 20 hours and I love that it charges my phone.

JBL has always been reliable, excellent quality and value. Decades ago, my first car subs were JBLs and awesome overall. This JBL Bluetooth speaker is equally as awesome!

I picked one of these up to replace my non-functional Pulse 2, hoping for improved battery life, sound quality, and for the extra feature of being a built-in power bank. So far, I’m very satisfied with the sound of this speaker. Rich bass, clarity, and the sound travels to fill a whole room with amazing acoustics as you increase the volume. Placed in a warehousing or factory environment, however, the sound will be drowned out considerably as you move 10-15 feet away from it. As for JBL boasting the 20-hour life, I haven’t experienced this even at 50% volume, and have yet to see this speaker outlast a 10-hour shift. lol! Maybe if you have it at a whisper, then maybe it would last that long. The plus side is at least you can charge something else up while listening to music. I recommend this speaker for all of its perks, but it’s best used in a small-space setting with very little to no other background noise to truly appreciate the power of this speaker. Two of these paired up would be overkill.

im pretty impressed with the speaker. thumps and bumps when it needs too. i loke the look and feel. easy to carry, charge featurw added bonus. a bit more affordable then the competitors

This speaker is really nice. Great sound, easy to use and long battery life. The fact that its small, waterproof and has all the options with easy use makes it a great buy. JBL is a very solid brand.

Great product... gets loud enough to fill a 3 bedroom dwelling, and the bass is great. Love the ability to connect multiple units together for even better sound.

Great quality, nice size, loud enough for me and for my outdoor nature trips; fishing, camping, swimming, boating, tanning… but for it being a JBL I had higher hopes of sound being a bit more intense with the base and music quality. Only reason why I rated a 4. Easy to charge with USB-C in car or at home. Lasts 20 hours played continuously. You will also need the app to update the device once you purchase or it won’t be worth the buy. Be sure you upgrade by downloading the app.

So i just got one of these today and Wow!! This is a pretty Nice speaker for sure!! It sounds Bomb!! I looked at the Flip 6, it was alright..i wanted More Sound and Bass!! I looked at all the speakers Best Buy had, Bose was Nice but not enough Bass!! ION Uber Boom, not that great, The Sonys were alright, but nothing compared to this Charge 5 !! Im Glad I spent the extra money and got this, as it Sounds Awesome!!

Best Buy has working displays that let you demo the most popular units. My three favorite were the this one, the JBL Flip, and the Bose Flex. I chose this one because it handled loud volumes the best. Turn up the volume and everything was still distinct and not the least distorted. The other units sounded great at low volume but lost clarity at high volume, When I got it home, it paired instantly with my windows laptop. It's actually pretty small for such a big sound.
