For EDM, Dubstep, Hip Hop and Pop music, this speaker is really good. The bass hits hard and the voices are nice and clear. That said, it’s not the best for Rock or Metal music as the mids are mildly drowned out at over 40% volume. This speaker is still great for carrying around and being the life of the small party

I got the JBL Boombox 3 for my rig to listen to music because the speakers are terrible in there. I had to return that speaker because it was too powerful. The JBL Boombox 3 is not meant for enclosed spaces. Best Buy was gracious enough to take it back and I got the JBL Charge5 which works fantastic. It is powerful and sounds terrific.

love this little guy but i bought it for an ex under the expectation his broke ah would pay me back…girl, anyways. wish i had kept it when we broke up like he was trynna make happen but i was still delusional we would work things out, sigh. this thing louder than the giant sony speaker so theres that JBL FTW ♡
