I use it at work and i work 8-10 hours and the speaker dies out at 5 hours. I had to purchase a power bank just to try to keep it going till the end of my work day.could you imagine if i tried to charge something.

Posted .We appreciate your feedback. Our JBL Charge 5 should have at least 20 hours of playtime (depending on the music content and volume level). If the unit doesn't meet the advertised playtime hours even at low to mid volume level, there could be a problem with the battery of the unit. It drains really fast and + the sound is not as high as i thought, at least not for the price of the speaker. I have altec, sony and now a JBL and so far, Altec has given me the return of what i paid for.. Another reason of why i am giving 1 start is because Best Buy only provides 15 days to return the product... now i cant get my money back ..

Alot of money for nothing

I bought the charge 5 in sept. About a month into it the battery wasnt lastine more than 7 hours. It is now december and on a full charge it will last about 3 hours before blinking red. Ive reset it and tried all the trouble shooting there is, other than replacing the battery. For the price of this thing you would think you would get your moneys worth. Or atleast something that last more than 3 months.Do not waste your money.
