Great speaker! Loud and convenient, holds battery charge for a long time even with constant use

Great sounds quality, I'm surprised how loud it is!

At this price point, this is an outstanding little speaker! It is simple to pair and offers a really big sound with good clarity throughout the the mid and high ranges while providing enough bass to fill a medium sized room. That said, it was purchased primarily for outdoor use at the beach where it really shines. I purchased this for my wife as she meets up at the beach with about 10 of her girlfriends once each month and wanted something very portable that could withstand both sand and the occasional splash. After the first use, she came home beaming. She said that it was plenty loud (my biggest concern was that it might not have been loud enough for the beach) and that they even kept turning it down as it was a bit too loud to talk over comfortably. I purchased a carry case for it from a large online retailer that fits this unit perfectly and keeps it safe while not in use. She LOVED that added touch as well.

Still loving the sound quality of my JBL Charge 5 Bluetooth speaker! Great speaker for the price! Upgraded a smaller JBL for the 5 …still sounds amazing! Listening to it now while enjoying this beautiful sunny day!

Excellent quality all the way around. This is my fifth JBL speaker and I’ve never been disappointed. After comparing this with my Charge 4, it definitely has better instrument separation and it gets a bit louder, not really worth it if you already have a Charge 4 in my opinion. Compared to the Flip 5, the Charge 5 has better separation, but overall sounds very similar; the Charge 5 is mainly louder, which is expected given the size difference. I can guarantee that you’ll be impressed with whichever JBL speaker you choose.

I don't think I have ever gone wrong with a JBL product. If it's got JBL on it, it's going to do what it describes in its product listing. This speaker sounds better than any other iterations of the Charge speakers that I've owned. My only disappointments with the speaker is the 3.5mm jack is gone. The other is the battery life is not 20 hours. I'm lucky if I get 4 hours at 3/4 volume at work. The sound is beyond amazing for this little tube!

I would 100% recommend these. I would say buy multiple if you have a big area and maybe some smaller ones and you can have yourself some real good sound.

Besides having great sound quality it is also waterproof and drop proof. I take it to the river everytime.

The charge 5 is a good utility speaker for in and out door usesge. The music is clean and clear with great highs and lows that let the voices come thought unmuttered with thumping bass that makes listening a pleasure.
