    Difficult to recommend it, and apart from expensive sound not very strong but of course the treble is very good

    I have had a jbl charge 3 and 4. Which have performed great. I bought the charge 5 in sept. About a month into it the battery wasnt lastine more than 7 hours. It is now december and on a full charge it will last about 3 hours before blinking red. Ive reset it and tried all the trouble shooting there is, other than replacing the battery. For the price of this thing you would think you would get your moneys worth. Or atleast something that last more than 3 months.Do not waste your money.

    Extremely happy with this purchase. Bought this brand based on recommendations from a fiend. Using this speaker hooks up to my phone so easily.

    Same problem subwoofer went out! So now what? Just suck it up?

    bought for pool area. existing system requires entering the house to make changes. Excited to put into use when pool season rolls around.

    I was disappointed that the box had no instructions or a cord. The salesperson was not sure if it should have one.

    Returned was not satisfied. The sound was not clear and crisp. Some static in back ground.

    Great all around speaker

    It’s a great all around speaker and time will tell how it holds up. I have an UE Boom for a couple of years. It was time to replace it as the battery was only lasting 1 hour at full volume. Mainly use my speaker for outdoor, beach park etc so it needed to be water proof and durable. So I bought an UE Megaboom. Boy I was so disappointed. It basically had the same sound as my smaller boom just a little louder. I then was looking at several speakers including Sony xb33, xb43, JBL Xtreme 2 and 3, Charge 4 and 5. The Xtreme and XB43 had the best sound with the JBL winning but could not see myself spending $250 and up for a outdoor speaker. Also battery life on the Extreme only had 15 hours. Sony 24 but didn’t sounds as good. After lots of research I bought the Charge 5. The charge 4 currently is a good deal at the moment but the missing extra tweeter speaker on the 5 made a big difference and nice upgrade to go with the 5. The Charge 5 is basically an Xtreme mini. Has well depth in sound highs mids and lows but at a lower volume level but not by much. $180 vs $350 is not a great value to go with the Xtreme as the sound quality is very similar. Also like the fact that the Charge 5 has a 20 hour battery life. I still like my original UE Boom but they need to step it up with the next UE Megaboom 4.

    Bought 2 of these for my daughter's for Christmas...can t beat the JBL charge for the money on there cyber monday sale

    I bought it open box “excellent”. It was missing the charging cord and it was hardly in “excellent” condition. Scratched up pretty good. Now I get to return it in the Christmas return crowd. Thanks.

    Sound quality doesn’t live up to why they are charging for it. Bass is weak.
