I need to be able to rewind my favorite songs or else what's the meaning of life. Also the sound is decent, it's not as loud as I expected but it's alriiight.

When charging your speaker, it's necessary that you are using the proper power brick/adapter rated at 5V and at least 2A with the cable it came with. This speaker has up to 20 hours of playtime which may vary depending on volume and music content. If the speaker doesn't meet the advertised playtime hours even at low to mid-volume levels, there could be a problem with the battery of the unit. Please contact JBL customer support so we can assist you.

For our JBL Charge 5, charge the battery to 100% and then listen to music without any bass boosted, and at a very low volume. If the battery lasts close to the published up-to playtime, the battery is working fine. However, if you get less than 90% of the published specification, this likely means that the battery is losing its capacity. If you need more help, please contact our customer support.

In addition, please know that the battery wears out over time. Even if listening at maximum volume to heavy bass music, the battery should last longer than 60% of the published playtime. It does not. It can get loud but the sound is flat. The marketing and reviews mislead me to but this Soeaker. Two stars for looking nice and connecting easily to Bluetooth.
