    I bought a Charge 4 last year. It already died just past its warranty. So can not imagine it would be worth it to buy another.

The batteries of our Charge 4 are Li-ion batteries that have charging cycles. The life span depends on usage.     No bass, took it back. Very disappointing for a product with the JBL name.
