Best speaker jbl does not let down can charge and with carrier it is beast

This. This is what you want. Forget about going through crap like comparing it to other speakers. Ok, the JBL Charge 6 is probably not too far away, but no matter what the next version may offer, it won't detract from what this does and how good it is. Yes, it's that good. Wow, I can't believe I'm saying all of this. Soundcore, LG, Altec Lansing, Bugani, Sony, big names & small names, I've certainly had my fair share of bluetooth speakers. At the end of it, nothing compares to this. Ok, the JBL Xtreme 2 & 3 are an exception here for big sound, but just how portable do you really consider a speaker to be if it includes a freakin' carrying strap?! To say nothing of it's considerably added size and weight. Yeah, it's like the big brother for JBL's portable lineup. At the other end of this spectrum is the JBL Flip 6, the little brother in JBL's portable lineup, and I suppose it does alright for itself, but really, that's what you get your preteen kid for their birthday so they have their own speaker and stop screwing around with your good bluetooth speaker. The JBL Flip 6 is NOT what any serious adult wants and if they get it most will either be filled with regret, happy ONLY because they got it as a gift or are some old dude who's too old to realize or care that it's ultra mediocre and a bare minimum offering. Meanwhile the JBL Charge 5 is sorta the middle brother out of JBL's portable lineup. Which think about it, is great. Not too big & heavy that it ain't portable, yet big & powerful enough to enjoy music however you want it, even if you want to crank it up. Go ahead, pump up the volume, it'll still sound great. There's nothing holding this speaker back. It can charge your phone too? Who cares?!?! I get that's a selling point to some, but screw that, the speaker itself is so freakin' good all of the extras is just JBL's way of telling us we can have our cake and eat it too! Seriously, I expect the JBL Charge 6, the next gen, to somehow trump this, that's just how things go, but again, even still that won't at all discount what this bad boy is capable of. The crazy thing in my head is, I'm amazed that they got such an exceptional and amazing sounding & loud speaker into such a small space. It is a tad heavy for it's size, but not enough to be remotely off-putting. Actually it makes it feel more substantial and durable than anything. Look, need a bluetooth speaker for on the go? Get this and those of you who are hesitating right now will immediately wonder why once you have it and turn it on.

I really love my JBL, the sound is fantastic! Very easy to set up and pair with my phone. The Charge5 seems to be particular as to the charging cord, not every cord will do the job. Once I figured out that tidbit, wirks like a charm!!
