The buttons on the later model are easier to access, especially one handed or while the speaker is hanging by its clip. The clip opening is narrower than expected and reduces its usefulness for. FYI it charges via micro usb. The battery life is okay, but just okay. Sound quality is fine for the type of product and price. I prefer the newer model for the reasons mentioned above. Still it’s a decent choice for the price.

Great sound and easy set up. Can listen to it anywhere from sitting on your desk to hanging it on your backpack.

This little guy right here packs so much power it's unbelievable, very very loud I constantly get compliments and always have people looking around to see where is the music coming from, the Bluetooth connection was easy and quick, charging it doesn't take longer than 1.5 hours, battery life is great up to 4 hours I have gotten on mid to high volume, very stylish, if u have the jbl clip 2 I honestly don't see why you would upgrade but if this is your first time purchasing this then yes I'll highly recommended
