Posted .Thank you for your feedback. If your JBL Clip 4 experiences sudden volume changes, it may be due to loudness issues from the source device or speaker. If volume changes only occur as you increase the volume, it is functioning as designed. If volume changes occur at all levels, the source device may be too loud. To fix this, try lowering the volume on the device and connecting the speaker to a different device to see if the problem is with the device or the speaker. You can also try resetting the speaker by pressing and holding "Volume +" and "Bluetooth" for more than 10 seconds. If the issue persists, contact us at (800) 336-4525 Mon-Fri: 9:00 am - 11:00 pm (EST) Sat-Sun: 9:00 am - 5:00 pm (EST).

This is well worth the price. Louder than any portable speaker I've used at its size, including name brand competitors. If youre looking for a good pocket sized speaker that can hang on pretty much anything, buy this one. Anything that costs more than this is a rip off.

Interference can also be caused by obstructions like walls and other wireless signals from things like Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. We also recommend resetting your unit: In Power On mode, press and hold 'Volume+' together with 'Play/Pause' for more than 10 seconds. The speaker will power off and is now reset. Make sure to remove or forget the JBL Clip 4 name before pairing it again. If you need further assistance, please contact our customer support.

I have a couple of JVC’s in various sizes (Boombox 3 and Charge 4) but they do not function well at low volume in an office setting as it is either too soft to have a full sound or too loud to disturb others. This speaker fills that void as you can keep the volume low but still hear the complete music. However, if you are needing to fill a larger space with sound, you may want to consider a larger speaker.
