Great sound from a small speaker. Size of my cell phone so super easy to take anywhere

I bought this for work, since my employer allows personal speakers for music, but not earbuds or bone conduction headsets. Overall, it has good sound and type C charging is a plus, however battery life is very low at higher volumes, and takes longer to charge than you get to listen. (3+hours to charge, 1.5-2 hrs tops at Max volume). Would be great for someone on a hike, or camping, or somewhere else quiet where you wouldn't need the volume up to enjoy it.

I got this to listen to audio books while in show. Its water proof and for the size sounds pretty great.

These speakers are incredibly loud for their size. I didn't have any issues with not having a JBL app since I could just use the EQ/settings from my music player to achieve my desired sounds. I docked a star because bass is definitely lacking. It's competition, the Sony XB13 (which I ended up keeping), have stellar bass for its size. The other reason is that while I thought the XB13 would fare better for bass heavy music while these would triumph for more vocal pieces, I found the Sony to be better throughout. Pick the JBL if you prefer an open sound and want sheer power through volume. Note: I think its standard pricing is over-priced ($80). At that price point, it is closer to speakers in a larger size than its actual competition. Excellent value at $50 on sale.
