I purchased Black Friday 2023 so the price was definitely worth it. It’s Summer 2024 and it’s still a go to speaker for around the house especially while doing weekend cleaning.

Loud and clear

I didn't have any issues with not having a JBL app since I could just use the EQ/settings from my music player to achieve my desired sounds. I docked a star because bass is definitely lacking. It's competition, the Sony XB13 (which I ended up keeping), have stellar bass for its size. The other reason is that while I thought the XB13 would fare better for bass heavy music while these would triumph for more vocal pieces, I found the Sony to be better throughout. Pick the JBL if you prefer an open sound and want sheer power through volume. Note: I think its standard pricing is over-priced ($80). At that price point, it is closer to speakers in a larger size than its actual competition. Excellent value at $50 on sale.
